Food was good and service was good. The tater keg things were basically deep fried baked stuffed potatoes. Really good. Cheese bacon fries were good too. Ordered boneless and bone in wings. Also a Philly cheese stake plate which was good. The mango habanero wings had a great sauce, and the ranch was made in house. Good prices for everything. Would absolutely eat at this place again. The back room had a sports bar feel with big tvs and a sit down bar. Very nice.

Stopped in here tonight for what I had expected to be a quick beer and a small bite to eat. This turned into an evening of fantastic conversation with locals and patrons as well as phenomenal service by Leslie (hope I got her name right) who was by herself tonight and having to deal with both barside and the front and she was phenomenal, absolutely perfect and great conversation while managing to essentially run the entire operation herself. Truly one of the best I’ve encountered. The food was fantastic and overall the prices were more than fair for the quality. It’s not bottom of the barrel stuff here by any stretch. Some folks I ended up meeting tonight got burgers which looked absolutely fantastic and they raved about them.
This is a great place for sure. I had Coaltown Tavern last night and the Little Grill and Chill tonight – both of these were absolutely perfect in every stretch. I love visiting Welch and the rest of McDowell County, and now having had both of these spots, it’s pretty incredible to see McDowell County really start to make a positive turn – there’s things happening here and it truly warms my heart to see the positive additions to a place that needs it.

On our way home to Canton Ohio and searched for just this kind of place for lunch. The cheeseburgers were perfect! Great flavor to the beef and fries were nice and crispy as well.
Pass up all the other choices and head here!! You won’t regret it!!

Went for a drive on a whim and ended up needing to turn around and landed right in the parking lot. Decided to stop in and have a bite. COULD NOT HAVE BEEN A BETTER ACCIDENT! Our waitress was A++ and the food was killer! Seriously the best wings I have ever had and the burgers are worth another hour drive! If you find yourself randomly in Welch…..GO!! You won’t be disappointed.

Very cool restaurant and bar in Welch. Diffently my new hot spot to eat and chill. The owners have invested a lot and are still making it better. Today a juke box was delivered while we were there. The server girls were great the food homemade and delicious.!!

Wonderful food. The owner and employees go above and beyond for the customers. Your greeted as soon as you walk in. The service is very fast Considering the food is prepared fresh. Which is always a big plus. This place is very kid friendly while also adult accommodating. This place definitely embodies the mcdowell hospitality with some great food.

The food was amazing and we loved the atmosphere! We got the bbq sandwich and the grilled/crispy chicken sandwich. They were both very good! Definitely recommend!!

Drove up from N.C. to see Coalwood. We stopped in for a late breakfast. The food service and atmosphere was an easy 5 star. Very friendly service and very good food! It’s sad how impoverished the area is. We wanted to see Coalwood for the rocket boys story. If you ever venture that way the Little Grill and Chill should be on your list as well!

The restaurant itself is very cool. Plenty of seating, cool decorations, and they even had a little kids table with cooking toys for them to play with. As a father of three this was a first and it was awesome! The server was nice but the food was not good. The broccoli and cheese bits were honestly very good and had us excited waiting for the food. My wife got a loaded potato with steak. There was a ton of “Steak” on it, which just looked and tasted like ground beef but was lacking every other topping. The potato was also cold and has zero seasoning on it. I got the Saturday special which was a ribeye and some sides. My potato was also cold and unseasoned and my steak was completely inedible. It first came well done after I asked for medium rare but when the refire came back it was almost raw and took 30 min to get. By the time my food came my entire family had ate there food. The steak even though severely undercooked was so rubbery I couldn’t swallow it. It seems like the steak was either frozen in my opinion, or made in the microwave I’m not sure. I ended up paying $65 for my son’s to eat a hot dog and some tater tots because they wouldn’t comp any of the meals. Very unhappy with the whole experience. Which was over an hour and a half from start to finish.
