Fun spot with decent food. We’re traveling and had a super long day so didn’t do drinks but the margs looked great. Our waiter (Thomas) was great and fun. He told our daughter the nachos were huge and I don’t think any of us were prepared. My quesadilla was great and wife loved her tacos. Not sure if the food is anymore special than other spots but I felt it was a good experience at a great price point for the experience and portions.

I’m not a Chicago resident but since discovering this restaurant I make it a point to go visit each time I’m in Chicago. I specifically go here for the nachos. The portion size is ginormous! It could easily feed around three people! Food came out super fast! And a great atmosphere! My only issue the last time going was the service being a little slow and servers sitting around talking to each other when we were waiting for our checks and boxes. Other than that this place is so good!

A cute cozy place that you wouldn’t really notice from the outside in winter. We split 6 tacos and the winners were the pork belly, oh my cod and the brisket (yum!) but the real star was the queso. Made with goat cheese and it was just amazing with their house made chips. We will definitely be back. The margaritas were good and the staff was great at customizing to taste. The manager was walking around and checking in on everyone. My water was never empty and staff overall was just super friendly. Perfect Saturday lunch.

We were visiting Chicago for the NBA game & Christmas time. We’re so glad we stopped here. The tacos were amazing. DON’T LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING the churro filled with chocolate & peach gelato, probably my favorite dessert the whole trip! My favorite taco was the shrimp one & my husband’s was the pork pineapple one. We also tried a raspberry marg on the rocks, which was great, but it was on the smaller side. The chips & salsa was okay (the chips were good, but the salsa was 2 different kinds & not your typical salsa). The atmosphere was perfect, but was also decorated very cute for Christmas. I recommend trying this restaurant, especially if you like Mexican food.

Beware! The portions are huge.
We ordered the Nachos and a tray of tacos, and it was way more than we expected.
Food was tasty, and came out very quickly.
The margaritas were good as well.
The atmosphere is fun, layback, and really makes justice to being called a “taco pub”.

Broken English Taco Pub might just be the definition of organized chaos — neon lights, wild murals, and the kind of energy that makes you want to order “just one more round.”
We dove in with a passionfruit refresco that lived up to its name — pure liquid sunshine. The hamburguesa arrived stacked, saucy, and unapologetically indulgent. The Guacamole de Piña was a sweet-savory dream that deserved its own slow clap, and the Carne Asada came in sizzling with attitude. Even the Mucho Good Greens Bowl flexed like it had something to prove — crisp, bold, and full of flavor.
It’s one of those spots where you leave full, happy, and slightly glittered by the vibe.

Pro Tip: Make a reservation on weekends.
This place had such fun vibes and really good food! Since we had a reservation the wat it was super short! We were a party of three. A friend and I shared the six taco plate with three different types of tacos. Afterwards we definitely had the churro and ice cream dessert! We ate it too quickly to take a picture. Lol! Get it…You won’t regret it but you will regret it if you don’t get it!
The decor and atmosphere is so fun! My friend and I knew almost all the songs they played. You do have the option to sit outside but the inside vibe is 100% where it’s at. They are two different worlds!
I will definitely come back to this place next time I am in Chicago!

this is an awesome Mexican restaurant near the Riverwalk. The street tacos are fantastic. We loved the brisket chicken and Carne Asada. You definitely need to get the guacamole and chips. They were fantastic!

The server was absolutely delicious. Somehow found time to have an actual conversation with us while taking our order and serving others. We didn’t have to wait much. Such a fun cozy spot with a creative twist on traditional street taco. Generously filled tacos so we each filled up on 3 or 4 tacos. You have to be comfortable with sidling up with your tablemates. The environment is buzzing but in a fun, not stressful or rushed way.

We absolutely loved the piña colada and the guacamole; both were delicious and definitely the highlights of our visit.
Unfortunately, we thought the tacos themselves tasted awful, which was disappointing since that’s the main draw. If the food quality improves, this place could easily be much better because the atmosphere and drinks were solid.
