This past Friday both my son and I had some free time for lunch. So he said,” Hey Mom, I’m going to take you out for lunch today to a restaurant you haven’t been to before! “ Because I am very smart, I said Okay! And we were on our way to Gator’s Dockside. When we arrived we were seated in a timely manner and given the menu which offered us a great variety of options including a few vegetarian options! I was able to get a wonderful meatless Cobb Salad and the crispy Tailgate Green Beans! Everything was delicious and well prepared. Our server, Kaylee, was attentive and anticipated our needs. She is an asset to Gator’s. I highly recommend Gator’s Dockside to anyone who is well prepared delicious food at a reasonable price!

Our server, Dominique, was outstanding. Even though the restaurant was packed, she was attentive, friendly and efficient. She didn’t show any signs of being stressed; just doing her job and doing it well. Food was good; atmosphere was fun with football fever throughout. Great time.

We stopped by on a Saturday around 2pm and it was busy but not too busy. The service was fast and there are TV’s everywhere to keep you occupied. The buffalo chicken wrap was so good with Dr Pepper sauce. We split some tots and my wife had the boneless wings. Everything was delicious and the drinks were great as well.

Overall a decent sports bar/grab a bite. I’ve never had a burger prepared the way I ordered when I’ve been there and had a burger, but today I did not get a burger.
Cod sandwich with the “spicy” breading.
The fish certainly was not the most fresh. I could tell it had to have been a frozen fish recently. I KNOW, everyone uses frozen product, but this was special; a little chewy, semi dry, and just a less fresh flavor.
The fries slapped!
Overall, a good lunch date with my mom, just never blown away by this place when I hear people raving about it often enough.

Arrived for an early dinner (5:00) Started out with 2 of the Blueberry Spritzer Drinks (came is the smallest glass they had) & the fried mushrooms…they were really good. Asked if they had any melted cheese to dip them in instead of ranch dressing; waitress said they had queso dip…which would work (when the bill came it was a $2.50 up charge; she should’ve at least let us know. Ordered the Smashed Gator Burger & asked if they had cinnamon & sugar prior to upgrading the side to Sweet Potato Fires ($2.99 up charge) & was told they did. I was asked if I wanted lettuce, tomato, onion, & pickle for it & I said yes. Hubby ordered the Italian Grinder off the lunch menu & was told immediately that there would be a $3.00 upcharge because the lunch time was over. Well just look at the photos…no cinnamon & sugar on the well done sweet potato fries…no lettuce, tomato, pickles. Had to wait for the waitress to bring what was missing & was given “caramel topping” to use with the sweet potato fries because they ran out of cinnamon & sugar!?!? Really?? Huge disappointment. At least when I said that the burnt sweet potato fries weren’t edible for me, the waitress did offer to bring another side….but…I had to wait quite a while to get the tator tots that I settled with for a replacement that the manager finally brought to our table. I’d hate to see how much worse the service would be if they actually had 75% of it full with customers. For the price, the service was poor. If you’d like to try some “alligator” based food, give them a try…maybe you’ll have better luck than we did. At least we gave the restaurant a try, but it’s a hard NO …we’d ever dine there again.

We had a big party of about 20 people and Shay and Alyssa absolutely rocked it. Our drinks were always filled and our food came out hot and perfect. Even helped us as we spilled a couple cups of water (sorry!) Thank you Gators!

I would like to give a shout out to Jaydain!! My sister and I come about once or twice a week, and everytime I have Jaydain, it’s always a pleasant experience! She was so super nice, and had me taking care of Immediately with my to-go order! I just wanted it to be known you have a great employee, and she should be noticed!

Recently visited the Spring Hill location, and my party and I had an amazing time! The food was great, the service was exceptional! From Kaeleen at the table, to Kaitlyn and Kristina at the bar, and Tony and Gianna being helpful and constantly smiling, our experience was truly unforgettable! John the manager stopped by and made us feel very welcome as well. Overall we truly had such a great time and would recommend this spot to ANYONE AND EVERYONE!
