We visited Osteria del Fiori with a group of friends while looking for a central and quick lunch option on Christmas Day. The restaurant is literally next to the Duomo, right in the heart of Florence, and we were welcomed with smiles from the very beginning.
The overall experience was very positive. The staff was extremely kind, professional, and helpful, assisting us with the menu and even offering to move us to a better table with a nicer view once one became available (although we chose to stay where we were).
The food was quite tasty and all the dishes we ordered were good choices — everyone in our group was satisfied. The only exception was the pizza, which was a bit average compared to the rest of the dishes. We also tried tiramisu, which was very enjoyable.
Prices are on the higher side, likely due to the prime location next to the Duomo, and they could be slightly more reasonable. That said, I would still visit again. Thank you for the great hospitality, and Merry Christmas!

Outstanding Experience at Osteria del Fiorre!
Marcelo was an amazing waiter he was incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive from start to finish. The food was delicious and hearty, with flavors that were truly out of this world but home to the Tuscany region. I ordered the Tuscan soup that stayed warm the entire time while we sat outside on a chilly December day. Great place to people watch my favorite. My husband had a chicken dish, and we savored every single bite The drinks were also perfectly made and so enjoyable
I hope more people get to experience this beautiful, tasty restaurant. We definitely did and we recommend it to everyone!

We had a wonderfully romantic dinner with our family in front of the Duomo. The atmosphere was magical — enjoying delicious food while gazing at the stunning cathedral felt unforgettable. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. Fantastic location next to the cathedral. Was worried it would be a tourist trap but the food was excellent. Would recommend the steak with fresh truffles and the house red wine. The cheese with walnuts and honey starter was not too bad either. The roast potatoes were excellent. Overall very satisfied!

The location is the best to start with … overlooking the Doumo! The Aperols with the appetizers were amazing. The servers Marselo were so personalized in suggesting us with what to order. Ordered the Burrata with tomatoes in olive oil and Cannoli beans in Rosemary , it went so well with Bread! Had the hand rolled pasta with truffles it just melted in our mouth. This place is a definite try in Florence.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, and the service was impeccable. Ordered a soup to share and the waiter kindly split it into two bowls for us. Such an enjoyable meal with the thoughtful and attentive servers. 🙂 Great first experience trying the Florentine steak as well! Would love to come back and try the pastas.

We were 2 people and had the bisteca Florentino, which was the most amazing chunk of steak I had in a very long time (and I’m from SA!). The ambience was not intrusive and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Giuseppe was our waiter and he was incredible by giving us recommendations on wine and side dishes (and not the most expensive) We booked for the following night as well.

The ossobuco was one of the best I’ve ever had — tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was also outstanding; everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you’re in town!

The food is absolutely perfect! We came back twice in a day. We ate papardele and risoto with pumpkin and burata, no mistake if you choose it. The service guys are so kind and they deserve the best rating and maybe a raise hehe. Thank you for everything!

The staff is so friendly and accommodating! The food is delicious with very generous portions and good prices. They have a restroom, free, password-protected wifi, and indoor or outdoor seating. We ate here 4 or 5 times because it is so good, and they remembered us every time. Very charming, open, and airy with a friendly bustling atmosphere. A delightful part of our trip!
