Bangkok Cuisine prepares cooking with freshest ingredients to create Thai taste that can be defined as the use of all 5 flavors: spicy, sweet, salty, bitter and sour. Thai food is an ancient art originating thousands of years ago. The basic cooking techniques used in Thai cooking, stir-frying, deep frying, and steaming, are practiced in nearly the same way today as they were centuries ago.
Traditional art lines the walls of this unassuming Thai restaurant serving classic curries & soups.

The best part of the restaurant was the staff, they were attentive and friendly – if it’s family owned I wish them nothing but success. However, the meal wasn’t anything that I would go back for. First time visiting, I decided to go with the Pad Thai – every restaurant has mastered their own version, but this version was very confusing. It was so sweet, and there was zero spice. Usually I have to navigate the seasoning and spiciness… but this one had no heat at all. Plus the veggies were spongy and the chicken and steak had a grayish hue with no seasoning and strangely peanut sauce is an extra that you have to purchase separately. The spring rolls were good though! The location is very dated and could use a good scrubbing and some TLC

Delicious Thai food! Some of the best I’ve ever had! My noodle dish had really intense flavors of ginger. You could tell that real ginger was used in the cooking and not the powder spice! I’d say that was the singlehanded most obvious difference in this food versus anywhere else. All of the ingredients were fresh and the food was amazing! I also loved the fact that it was easy for me to find which items I could order as a vegan. They have a lot of different options but I really enjoyed the vegan options! I won’t even list all the vegan options here because there are too many. Basically have no fear you’ll find lots of food here!
Our first visit was 4 months ago, we returned for a second time now that they announced they redid the inside and my it was beautiful in there! Follow their Facebook fan page for cute posts by the owners as well

Fresh and delicious! Probably the best Thai restaurant in San Antonio. It isn’t cheap and it is obvious that they make your food fresh to order, but it is certainly worth it.
After having absolutely scrumptious springrolls we tried the lemongrass chicken and eggplant soybean beef. They both delivered. The food leaves you satisfied without feeling stuffed.

Been coming here for years. Nationally rated restaurant with delicious fresh Thai food. We are picky about our Thai and this place always impresses. The lady who owns this restaurant has an interesting back story that is on the pink flyer at your table. She brings in fresh produce from Austin. I’m sad that they got rid of their bubble drinks and the new construction in the back of the dining area is weird but the food is always great.

Tuesday evening, ordered Cucumber Salad, Spicy Fried Rice with Shrimp.
The Cucumber salad was spot on. No peppers but very good. A nice big bowl full.
The spicy fried rice with shrimp was very tasty as well. Plenty of rice. Spicy but not hot. I thought it would have been really spicy with 2 peppers marking it on the menu.
All in all a good place for fresh cooked meal. Prices were a few dollars over the standard thai restaurants in the area.

I only had the pad Thai but it was delicious. The beef was pretty chewy. I’m wondering if they use shoulder round for their beef slices. An easy work around is to have ground beef/chicken as an option. Very good still. I recommend.

#55 – Tom Yum Noodle. Best soup ever! I love Thai and have eaten it all the way from the west coast to the east coast and their Tom Yum Noodle is something special. Great service, never busy. Sweet ladies running the place and you’ll never have a problem with parking. I’m in Austin and will definitely be driving back for more. Give them a try!

The most expensive lunch ever. $30. They said they don’t offer lunch specials anymore so I ordered a dinner portion of beef pad Tai. It was not even good. Hardly any meat. No sauces, no napkins, only a spork to try and eat the noodles with. And my Tai Tea was full of ice smh. The only thing I enjoyed was the mango sticky rice. Money wasted.

This place really has the absolute most authentic and delicious Thai food in the whole of S.A., no joke! If you have never dined here, you are missing out! We often order takeout here also. I ate the panang curry last week and the week before that etc… It is sooo good! My daughter and I love the cheese rolls (pictured). My husband loves the Bangkok tempura (pictured), and who can resist the biggest plate of pad Thai?
