Wife & I have been coming here since we moved into the area about a year ago. We stop regularly for their drinks specials, but occasionally also get some grub.

The drinks are, well, Sonic drinks. Always great deals through the app. The grub, when it’s hot and fresh, is hot and fresh and tasty. And when it’s not hot and fresh, which happens occasionally, you can tell. Sometimes later in the evening we get corn dogs or fries that were clearly under the heat lamps too long.

The real issue with the food, however, is cross-contamination – if you have certain food allergies or just don’t like certain addons or condiments, beware of what and how you order. My wife and I don’t like uncooked onions, for instance, yet most times we order burgers without onions there are couple bits of them mixed in (with the pickles, usually). Or, as often, we can smell and taste them, probably cross-contact at the prep station. So when we do order burgers, we have to order ‘plain’, hope for the best, and add extras from our fridge when we get home.

And for service, always helpful and friendly staff – never had anyone rude, never felt unwelcome or like “we” were the ones interrupting the staff (which you get at a lot of fast food places around here, we’ve noticed…)

Overall good enough that we’re still customers here, but they seriously need to sort the food handling and prep issues.

Sonics food is great, Service is always friendly sometimes you have to wait a few minutes but that’s later at night and that’s due to under staffing, same problem at all fast food places.
They have Very Delicious Burgers and Fries. The Prices are reasonable.
I always enjoy the food when we go or dessert, they have a really nice dessert menu!!

First off. The staff at this location is awesome. My order was missing some things but they brought it out shortly after and apologized. My biggest concern is that for the last week the items that have been cooked in the fryer have tasted disgusting. Not sure if it’s old oil or what. My family and I eat there maybe 3 times a week. But spending $40 each time and we can’t even eat the side is pretty ridiculous.

I ordered grill cheese and they over cooked the bread and the tater tots taste like they have been sitting all day, my drink tasted wated down. Great customer service though

My husband purchased two medium blasts and this is what we got…we understand if they don’t go totally to the rim of the cup but, seriously? This is embarrassing. He also asked for marinara sauce with the mozzarella sticks, saw it pop up on the menu screen to verify, and even the carhop said there was marinara sauce in the bag when he handed it to him. Well, you can see the rating of this review, so you know there was no sauce in the bag. Mozzarella sticks were all split open as if they were in the air fryer too long. We don’t leave poor reviews often and we both were carhops in our hometown when we were in high school, so we understand the stress of the job. But come on, this is unacceptable. Waste of time and money.

This was absolutely amazing one of the best experiences at Sonic I’ve ever had in my entire life me and my friend it was on our accident going like 10 minutes before they closed, but they served us swiftly and the food was very very good and it was just amazing. They were literally running to peoples cars to make sure they got their food on time and that’s something I can respect.

I had sworn off Sonic and have since regained my faith in Sonic tonight. Better than any locations in Kansas City. Food was fresh, staff so pleasant even though it was 9 pm. Kudos to Alex and team!

Accidentally received the wrong order at first, called ahead and was told to ask for Megan when i got there, explained that we received a chicken and mozz sticks instead of 2 burgers and onion rings. They were extremely quick, respectful, and helpful and even though id said replacing just 1 burger was fine they went ahead and re-made the whole order, along with coupons for our inconvenience. One of my best experiences with any fast food, my partner was very grateful her burger was re-done with the specials included!! 23rd definitely has a great pm manager/s

The chili cheese fries were overcooked, yet soggy. They were also so salty that I’m sure they had been brined, and one of them was supposed to have been chili cheese tots.
I payed for a double, got a single. Probably not coming back. Too expensive, especially if only a small portion of what I ordered is correct, let alone edible.
