A decent restaurant with good food and a nice staff but slow service
This restaurant is easy to find in Harpers Ferry as it is right across from the train station on the lower road. It has a laid-back feel and an open door. The restaurant has two floors with self-seating, and we chose a table on the lower level. It was cool inside, though the doors were open to the outside, which added to the casual atmosphere. There only seemed to be one waitress handling all the tables, and while she worked hard and did a great job, the service was understandably slow and the tables were not cleaned very quickly once people left. One thing that stood out to me was how pet-friendly the place is—there was even a dog at a table on the porch. The menu offers classic American fare, like sandwiches and burgers. I had a BLT with fries, and both were very good. They were fresh, well-made, and satisfying. The prices were reasonable with most entrees being between $14 and $20 and my BLT was $12 . It’s not fast service, but if you have a little time and want a relaxed, friendly environment, Almost Heaven is a nice choice for a meal in Harpers Ferry.

A casual & fun place with entrances on both High St. (the town’s main street) and Potomac St. (where the parking is located). The menu offers typical pub-grub, and burger and wings we had were very good. The service was very friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was enjoyable. All-in-all a good place to grab a bite to eat.

Our server was amazing young lady doing her best as the only server here. She was doing almost everything from what I could see besides cooking. There had to be about 8 tables and she was attentive to them all. It is a cool building.
The food was very mediocre. Pub Burger/ fries my husband ordered and Fried green beens/spinach dip for me. Not sure what type of dip that was but I had better from the grocery store.

We ordered drinks and an app to start. Our server brought us the wrong beer, but it ended up being tasty anyways so we said nothing. The app we ordered was the crab dip. The dip and bread were good but served in a styrofoam cup that was microwaved and burned so the whole bottom of the dip was gross.
We were going to order entrees but our server never came back. We sat there with our empty plates and drinks at the edge of the table for quite a while. Our server to not be found and the other server completely ignoring us, even after trying to flag her down.
This was an early Sunday morning and it was not that busy. We’re really patient (prob too much, tbh) and this was bad enough for me to leave a review. I know I would at least like to have known about microwaved styrofoam $15 crab dip ahead of time. There’s better places to eat next door, on either side.

One of the best in Harper’s ferry! Kid friendly – dog friendly outside – plenty of seating. Sitting at the bar guarantees best service.

My family went on a particularly chilly day. The restaurant was cold inside with no working heaters. My brother asked for a hot toddy which came cool. My mother ordered a tea which also came cool. We asked the waitress to microwave both. Our waitress was very pleasant and peppy. She was very responsive. The food was good. Just know if you go on a cold day, things may be cold.

Anyone visiting Harper’s Ferry needs to stop here and have their Pub Burger. This is one of the best burgers going. Paired with a local brew hit the spot! Service was fantastic. Atmosphere reflected old Harper’s Ferry.

We had a delicious lunch here! Great service and even better food. I highly recommend the Reuben! The buffalo chicken wrap was also very good. The best part- the amazing fries! Fresh cut and crispy. Best fries in Harper’s Ferry! The prices were very reasonable and we’d absolutely eat here again.

Our server was the most cheerful server ever. The food was delicious–excellent quality for the price. The main floor exudes that British pub vibe, and the other seating areas are also delightful, including some outdoor seating.

We had such a great experience at Almost Heaven in Harpers Ferry! Our server, Dominique, was absolutely wonderful — super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The drinks were really good, but honestly, the food stole the show — everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Big thanks to Dominique for making our visit even better — we’ll definitely be back!
