Went for a nice time out with the family to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Food was lovely and the presentation was beautiful. The server was very kind, but admittedly got too busy and forgot about us a few times. Also ran out of desserts and we almost couldn’t sing to her for her birthday (at 4pm) but thankfully they were able to salvage the last piece for us. Truly a wonderful experience for all, including our two young kids. Highly recommend for those looking for an authentic Cuban experience.

Review of The Cuban – Saturday Brunch
The Cuban is one of my favorite go-to Latin-American restaurants, consistently serving authentic Cuban flavors. The drinks are always excellent and the food never disappoints—I genuinely haven’t had a bad meal here.
This visit was for brunch on a cold Saturday midday. I started with my favorite Bloody Mary, and as always, brunch includes unlimited drinks for an hour and a half when you order an entrée—mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Champagne punch.
The restaurant wasn’t crowded, and as soon as we were seated, the bartender greeted us warmly and handed us all the menus: happy hour, main, brunch, and kids. The Cuban really leans into its theme—staff dress the part, the atmosphere is lively and warm, and it feels welcoming from the moment you walk in.
For lunch, I ordered my favorite dish: pulpo a la parrilla. The food and drinks were delicious, just as they always are. I’m consistently impressed with this place, and The Cuban remains one restaurant that never lets me down.

The Cuban food at this restaurant was Soooo good! We enjoyed the potato balls, the plantains, the fried pork dough, the congri rice, the yucca fries, and a Cuban sandwich…. Every bite of everything was absolutely delicious, we couldn’t get enough of it! The food was very authentic, and we 10 outta 10 recommend!

Friday night festive atmosphere. Live Daj after 9 PM. Food is great and service is wonderful. Staff is very attentive and professional. The Ambiance is amazing. Highly recommend the Cuban Sandwich. I used to love this place. Don’t know what happened but the food is not the same. We ordered a coconut mojito, mango juice, passionfruit juice and a family sampler. The Food was mediocre to say the least. Not a lot of flavor and not good quality. I had the same food at the cuban in patchogue and it was amazing!!! We asked for the check right away and noticed a 2 dollar extra charge for the mojito. Their explanation was that it’s 2 extra for flavor. I’ve never heard of that. What a waste of money on my birthday….

I absolutely love it here,the owner knows what he’s doing when he’s training his staff members on treating his guests with respect. The vibe is absolutely phenomenal, the music is loud and played with a Latin touch that makes you feel that you’re in foreign Latin country. The food is prepped and placed in a very classy style.

It was my first time visiting this place with my family, and sadly the experience was very disappointing. The service was just average, but the real problems started when the food arrived. My plate had a hair in it, which immediately turned me off. I asked for my steak medium, but it came out more than well done and very dry.
The portion size did not justify the cost at all. The plate was small, with only two small shrimp and a small scoop of mashed potatoes. To make matters worse, I was charged $85 for that single plate, and the pricing was not clearly explained beforehand. For what was served, the cost felt unreasonable.
What upset me most was that my son threw up after eating the chicken fingers. As a parent, that was very concerning and made the situation even more frustrating.
Overall, this did not feel like a family-friendly restaurant. It seemed more geared toward adults who want to drink and socialize. I would strongly advise families to be cautious, confirm prices in advance, and carefully consider whether this is the right place to dine.

My family and I have celebrated numerous birthdays there. The staff is extremely attentive. The food is amazing…their fried snappers are the closest thing to Haitian’s fried snappers-delicious. After eating, we get on the dance floor to enjoy their live music. If you’re looking for a nice restaurant with great staff and food that won’t disappoint, I definitely recommend this one.

My first visit to The Cuban was fantastic. I had lunch with a friend, and everything was excellent. The drinks were well balanced and very tasty. The Chorizo appetizer was really good. I had the beef rib plate, which was so good. It was tender and flavorful. I’m hoping to go for dinner and experience the nightlife here.
