Photos don’t do justice. Started tucking it in before thinking about writing a review.

Emma’s is everything a small town cafe is supposed to be! Total community! Friendly sincere service. Generous portions! Local ingredients. Outstanding coffee. And an absolute artist working the flat top!!!!

You want avocado toast and micro greens? Go somewhere else. You want a classic rural Iowa throwback to better days and happy memories of the way it used to be? Emma’s is well worth a pilgrimage.

These folk have taken over a long-time Earlville restaurant location and have everything that makes a cafe great. Sunday brunch is a bit pricey, but all the meat and prepared to order omelets, French toast, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and eggs you can tuck in!

Other days, a classic country cafe menu including the obligatory spelling mistakes that guarantee the authenticity of the fare.

Go and go again. These folks are valiantly preserving a lost tradition and genre in the culinary world.

A full winner of my “real deal” award with an oak leaf cluster.

Super cute place. Very clean. The waitresses are very friendly as is the chef. I love their breakfast food. Be warned, the pancakes are the size of dinner plates!
