In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. This was my first time visiting a place like this in Las Vegas.
I found it by chance, decided to stop by, and was pleasantly surprised.
The food was excellent — very flavorful, with large and satisfying portions at a very reasonable price.
The steak was incredibly tender and literally melted in my mouth.
I enjoyed it so much that I came back again the very next day and once again had a great experience.
Special thanks to Moe — very friendly and attentive, and he helped me choose exactly what I was looking for.
Great place overall. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Las Vegas.

Beef pot roast didn’t taste like meat (strange taste and texture), potatoes weren’t fully cooked. Apple deep dish pie zero taste. I picked up order to go cause I was craving pot roast. If I lived closer I would have returned it on principal. I threw the meat out. Got mashed potatoes as a side they were fine, turkey gravy horrible zero taste. Corn bread horrible, clam chowder ok. Will never ever go back cause it was so bad.

For real please increase amount of staff in the morning on weekdays, waiting 10 minutes just for the initial drink order makes no sense.
Extra waiter would make your only employee not run as rabid squirrel either. Your food is great but morning service is way too slow, happened multiple times. Weekends are so much better

I absolutely love BB. Jenny is fabulous. She makes you feel so welcome and loved. All the staff is wonderful and make sure everything is done perfectly. The food is always good and done exactly the way you request it and if something is wrong they make sure to fix it.

The food was ample and delicious, as always. Unfortunately, it felt like we were eating inside of a refrigerator! They really need to quit with the 50° air conditioning inside the dining room! Our meals went from hot to cold in less than 5 minutes! Great service, great atmosphere. If not for the inside temperature, five stars!

The food was great, with good portions. All of the food had quality ingredients. The service is very good and friendly. Unfortunately, it felt like we were sitting inside of a refrigerator. We asked if they could adjust the temperature, but that didn’t happen. So, I ordered a cold sandwich and a cold salad so my hot meal wouldn’t get cold. Otherwise, I would have rated this place five stars. We love their food! We love the service. And, the interior decorations are always fun and interesting to look at.
