Service from Jeizon D was chef’s kiss! Met our every need, cleared and cleaned our tables like a 5-star french restaurants. Drinks flowing all night.
And who doesn’t love this ambiance!?!?
Service was great and the food was amazing!
Chicken and waffles very good. The fried chicken alone was likely the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. It was super crisp yet also tender and flavorful.
Pimento cheese burger and fries was also very good. Nice grilled flavor in the beef. Fries were well cooked and the spicy ketchup was nice.
Got a side of the old bay macncheese. Super cheesy and I would highly recommend.
Also tried the Cactus Rose and Pandan Dew. Both were tasty. Pandan was a unique flavor.
I ordered a Milk Punch cocktail (Old Forester Bourbon, Aged Rum, Clarified Milk, Pineapple, Lemon and Creole Bitters) and a 1/2 order of their Chicken & Waffles on the happy hour menu.
Kevin S. was the bartender and he was super friendly and helpful in suggesting items on the menu. The Milk Punch tasted like a smooth piece of butterscotch, and the chicken & waffles were delish! The breading on the chicken was really crispy and the actual chicken meat was juicy and full of flavor! I wasn’t able to finish the meal so as I was taking it to go, the bartender gave me some warm cornbread with hot honey brown butter and this was probably my most favorite thing of all. The cornbread was warm, crispy on the outside and soft and tasty inside.
I’m looking forward to going back to this venue when I have more time to experience the restaurant but I highly recommend their happy hour for the prices but I imagine the food is great at any time of day!
Benjamin also surprised me with a birthday treat, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the evening feel even more special. His hospitality alone would bring us back.
The food was absolutely out of this world. Every dish we tried was fantastic, but the standout for both of us was the creamed corn succotash.
Also, the restaurant itself is such a beautiful building. Incredible atmosphere.
I am an out of towner but if I lived here I would be back all the time.
Uploaded photo is of the hummus appetizer – also amazing. Loved the kick of the pickled okra and mustard seeds.
The fried green tomato salad was crisp and fresh, with a delightful buttermilk dressing.
The cornbread was to die for – sweet, moist, and perfectly seasoned.
The catfish entree was delicious – the catfish was fried to perfection and came with a bright and tangy slaw.
The ribs were the star of our dinner. If you go, make sure you try them!
