I spent $8800.00 and was very dissapointed in the service and food that night we received as a party of 3. While I was made aware that the food was made fresh to order and was okay with waiting, I was truly dissapointed that after over an hour and 15 minutes of waiting the food came out and 3 items from our order was missing (mashed potato, festival and green plantain). This was not the worst part we ordered 2 jerk fish and they came out with one side edible and one side charred and burned so much it could not be eaten. I think they forgot or back burnered our order to serve some tourists that showed up and went and complained and asked where our food was they rushed and made our food very poorly. It was dissapointing that they served us burned fish and actually turned down the burned side and served it to us knowing it can’t be eaten. When I mentioned to the server the jerk corn had no season and that the fish was burnt she just said “oh boy” and “really?” In a sympathetic tone but made no measure to correct this. The fried green plantain also came cold and with no salt at all. The table next to us was also complaining about their service at the same time as us. I will say that when I did approach the manager she was polite and listened to my complaint and did offer to make it up to me the next night for retro night if I retuned. She asked me why we didn’t say something when the food came out and I did tell her I wanted to and told my family I would send it back but as regulars they were too polite..She also said “everybody had their off day and if I have never burned an egg I fried before”. I think this is a poor example to provide a paying customer. As a restaurant you require consistency and quality, not an “off day”. If I burn an egg at home that’s on me and my waste BUT I am not paying to eat an egg somebody else burned at my own expense. I have heard their food is usually good and maybe I will try them in the future and give them a second chance.
