Best country fried steak I’ve had at a cracker barrel in a long time, they usually have a lot of grisle or are tough. I really wanted the meat loaf and chicken tenders combo but they were out of meat loaf. I also had the seasonal broccoli cheese casserole it was dry and tasted like it had been reheated alot. Hashbrown casserole was good, salty, but good and very skimpish on it that afternoon (4:30P).I got some great deals on some cute ornaments and we had to get some chocolate covered orange jellies. . Oh my husband had the country fried chicken, glazed carrots, and hashbrown casserole and he loved it all. It was a cold day and the fire in that big fireplace was so magical, seasonally pleasing and felt good to these old bones.

I stop here for lunch yesterday for my father we are a big fan of Cracker Barrel and always order the NY strip . But yesterday strip was hard the meat quality was very poor. The waiter submit a request to cook another steak for us and the man in charge came to see us supposedly to cook another steak but we ended up leaving since we sat for about 20 minutes plus and the new steak never came to our table. Cracker Barrel please by high quality meats!!

Don’t usually go to this one, I live in Cave City and we have one. Everything is backwards..lol I’ll tell you, I might drive the 40 miles to get it from them though..the food was perfect and service was exemplary!!! My client had the country sampler, dumplings n chicken..hashbrown casserole and fried apples with biscuits…he’s saving the chicken n dumplings for later..and couldn’t finish the 1st 1/2..so, lunch for tomorrow..he said it was great.

Good clean restaurant with delicious food as expected. Hash brown casserole was over cooked with hard spots to eat.
Service was not bad, servers were present and very friendly.
The food I had ordered was very good and worth the trip.

Homely place with super nice staff. They have a gift store with an eclectic range of things worth rootling through. The restaurant is really popular and good hearty food. I went for breakfast and was not able to eat a lot in terms of gluten free, but oh boy! I had a double portion of fried apples and vanilla ice cream and would get that any time of day it was delicious, autumn spiced comfort food. Go just for that! They have an allergy menu which is helpful. The staff were really nice. My friend had an interesting sounding meal, a French Toast apple strudel bake with cream cheese. A seasonal special. And that was just breakfast! Delicious!

Cracker Barrel restaurants all over have been going down hill ever since they introduced alcohol to the menu, offending their largest groups of customers: Christians and older folks looking for the last family restaurant that isn’t a sell out to the drunken crowd. Also food portions have gotten smaller and the quality of the food has also become disappointing. I wouldn’t be surprised if they disappeared entirely in the next few years. We used to frequent these places monthly, but now maybe once or twice a year and always disappointed. This time our waitress was extremely friendly and pleasant. But when we ordered, she apologetically told us they were out of what we wanted to order (at 5pm) and she didn’t like serving the dinner crowd because this happens regularly. That’s really sad! And it has been the same during our last 3 visits at different locations even in different states. My biscuits arrived and we did a double take wondering if they really were biscuits due to their appearance. And the campfire chicken was WAY overcooked. I truly hope this review finds it’s way to corporate so someone can quickly turn around this sinking ship that was once an American establishment that was always packed with a waiting list, because they are now becoming a ghost town.

We recently had an excellent experience at Cracker Barrel! The highlight was definitely the phenomenal manager, Richard. He went above and beyond by coming outside to assist my husband, who was on crutches, ensuring he had a top-notch dining experience. Richard is such a wonderful guy and truly excels in his role as a manager. The food was phenomenal and served hot, making my husband’s visit even more enjoyable. My husband and I were both extremely impressed and totally appreciated the excellent customer service! Highly recommend this location for both the fantastic service and delicious food!

I had a great experience at this Cracker Barrel in Elizabethtown, KY. When I arrived there was a group of servers at the front awaiting guests. My server asked me if I had a drink preference she could get started before a different server walked me to my seat. I was promptly given a menu, my drink (coffee and water), and asked if I already knew what I wanted or needed some time. This did not feel like a rush to me, rather an intuitive approach to serving me better. I took a few minutes and she was right back with me to take my order. I ordered chicken and dumplings with two sides (possibly the cheapest order). I got green beans, collared greens and corn muffins. The food didn’t take long to arrive. Soon afterwards the server asked if I needed anything and I asked for hot sauce and vinegar (for the collared greens). All tasted good. The green beans were a little over steamed or cooked as they were very soft. Chicken and dumplings will never be like Mama made at home, but these are a Cracker Barrel staple and are pretty good. The server was consistently checking on me and refilling my drinks. I was very satisfied with the service overall. And as I said, the chicken and dumplings were the cheapest meal I could find on the menu – $8.99 for the dish with two sides.

Regular Cracker Barrel right off of I65 in ElizabethTown. Good breakfast food. Pancakes, biscuit and gravy, and cornbread are excellent. Grilled chicken tenders were also good.
