For the price you pay, I was almost expecting something a little more higher end. When asked if I would like a bottle of water, I politely said no thank you, come to find out a small bottle of water was $3 and even though I did not open it, they still charged me for it. I ended up just taking back to my resort anyhow, but it’s the principle of the thing. I ended up having the lobster tacos, my wife had the blackened shrimp and we shared an order of their French fries. Their fries were really good, with some sort of old bay type spice sprinkled on them. The lobster tacos were very tasty though they seemed to be build-them-yourself with all the toppings on the side ♂️. For 2 small lobster tacos, 8 blackened shrimp, two mix drinks and 2 bottles of water we were at $130 without tip.

I’ve been coming to Turks and Caicos for years and have visited the island over a dozen times, but this trip was our first time trying Castaway. We were honestly blown away. The service was fantastic and the quality of the food was excellent.
We’re pretty picky eaters from Los Angeles and loved everything we ordered. The fried rice is a must try, we had never seen it done like this on the island before. My husband loved the mac & cheese, the lobster is a must, and the conch fritters were excellent. My personal favorite was the conch ceviche.

Truly amazing food! Came for the conch fritters, stayed for the jerk chicken and fish tacos. Some of the best mac & cheese I’ve ever had. Went for lunch during the week and we were the only people there – seems like it’s more of a late night spot with live music and a fun boat bar.

Extremely poor service. Staff repeatedly ignored us. After ordering, items were missed, and despite multiple reminders, after two and a half hours the food was still not fully served.
No utensils were provided at all, and napkins were only given at payment. A simple request to remove bell peppers from a conch salad was refused because it was “pre-made.” The fish in the fish taco was extremely tough. Billing was handled immediately, yet the bill initially appeared to include incorrect charges. The entire experience completely ruined the mood. Disorganized, unprofessional, and not worth the time.

Food is pretty good and portions are generous . However service and staff attitude is absolutely terrible. We placed take out order which took over an hour to complete on a slow night. All tables around us got their food much quicker for dine in . Waiters and managers were unhelpful in solving the issue, hostess had a bad attitude when asked about the order. Our order most likely got lost and there was not even an apology. Do not recommend, there are so many awesome restaurants around with friendly staff.

Went in such a happy mood as you should when in TCI, but this place ruined our night. Sat us down took our order for drinks and and appetizer. One of the drinks was food the other had little to no alcohol, tried to return and the guy just laughed. They took our entree order and left. An hour later we still don’t have our appetizer and I had to stop a random waitress to help. She took our drink that was not good and never came back. I asked the hostess for help and she went and brought out one entree , no appetizer and no drink . Mind you we are seeing other guests get their food and drinks and eat and even leave after we were there. I’m not a complainer and I tried to express my concern and they said on no wow and left. I told them to just give me the check and we are leaving …. Surprising they came with all our food and drinks, but no I said we were done and don’t want anything anymore after an hour and a half. They got me the check and I asked them to correct it which they did but then the waiter still charged the wrong amount. Like jeez why is it so hard and why did they not even try to make things right early on. There are better places and maybe it was just my waiter but never going back.

This is a wonderful place to eat when visiting Turks and Caicos. We stopped in one evening. August is a slow season, so we were immediately seated without a reservation. The conch wonton appetizer was quite good. We also had the buffalo style cracked conch, which was delicious. The conch chowder was good. The red snapper tacos were delicious.

My experience here was subpar. I am primarily plant based there were two options. I researched prior to coming to this restarant the options. I ordered the vegan pasta dish which was under the main entree. Under the main entree they post two sides come with the entree. There was no mention that the 2 sides do not come with the vegan/ vegetarian option. So that was disappointing when I found that out. The other major disappointing part was as my husband was getting his entree they told me that the vegan pasta was not available . And the waitress said I should go to another restaurant. So I waited for a while for my main entree only to be told that it was not available after I waited. I wound up ordering a few veggie sides. When we got the bill. The vegan pasta that they did not have was still on the bill. We brought that to their attention and it was taken off. I did speak to the manager who said that there are not many restarants on the island that have vegan or vegetarian options. You know the service here was awful. And when you have bad service then it makes everything else below standard. The food was just ok. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that visits Turks and Caicos.

A little disappointing. The villa owners at the home we rented recommended. We had a reservation for 6pm, however we decided to go early to enjoy the happy hour their website hyped. When we got there, we were told there was NO happy hour. When we went to order drinks, many of the drinks on the menu we were told were not available. We stayed for dinner, and food was good, not great, but again, a few items were again not available. Finally the live music that is there every night starting at 6pm, was nowhere to be found. We left at 7pm and nothing. We went and had a drink elsewhere, and came back to get our car, and the place was even emptier than when we were there. Definitely did not pass the parking lot test either. So many better restaurants closer. Would not recommend.
