This place is a definite place to try out if in the Cave Creek area. The atmosphere was on point. As far as the food…I had a great experience. I had tortilla soup and the two tamales. Paired with a prickly pear margarita. It was delicious. Everyone else in my party (three of them) said their food was dry and mediocre. So they were not jazzed about the food experience at all. But rated the place great in all the other areas.

El Encanto was an amazing Mexican restaurant and it felt like you weren’t even in Arizona. I drove almost an hour to meet my family who lives in Goodyear for the afternoon. I had the carne asada tacos and they were the best I have ever had. More than 5 stars for this place. It was a beautiful day and we got to enjoy the patio by the water and watch the ducks as well.

The food was truly a delight, exceeding all expectations with its delicious flavors. We were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the attentive staff. The margaritas were expertly crafted and perfectly complemented our meal. It was a dining experience we would happily recommend to others. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning.

Visited El Encanto Mexican restaurant, while in Arizona. The restaurant was nicely decorated, appeared clean, had a pond view. The food and service were ok. The tamales were dry and lacked flavor. One of the tamales was sweet. Did not like at all, but that’s my preference as I prefer savory. The Ceviche was also dry, did not have sauce, the steak tacos were good and flavorful. The guacamole was good but needed more lime and salt. The service was mediocre, waiter was not attentive, expected better service. Try it, may be better service. Not sure if I would return.

I wanted to love this place but the food fell flat. The chips we got for table were bland and it looked like we got the bottom of the chips because they were mostly crushed. You are given 3 salsa with chips, but the tomatillo was so bland and watery, like no salt? The other two were average. The tamales were the best thing on the sampler. Overall, everything was bland and lacked that authentic Mexican spice. The restaurant is cute and the pond was full of ducks, the ambience was great. Maybe an off day for the cooks. Our waitress was “ok’, but the hostess was super friendly and all the bussers were hustling and working very hard and had a smile if they raced pass you!

Lovely, quaint, and peaceful environment and great food and drink! I enjoyed the carne asada tacos (gluten free!) and the strawberry agua fresca. My hubby enjoyed the mole enchiladas. We had a nice time sitting by the pond, watching the ducks and turtles.

Top tier service, food, drinks, & experience!
Our server was on point! The server took care of 30 witches on her own! Our order was quick, food came out quick, & no waiting on or paying our bills! Literally this chick/server must be one of their best if not the best! This restaurant should be on EVERYONEs go to, if in Cave Creek!

Maybe an off day, food was bland and cold, fish was dry and over cooked in the fish tacos. Veggie fajitas were fine. Nice atmosphere, will try again another day.

Fabulous Mexican food with an amazing atmosphere! I highly recommend dining on the patio — it overlooks a peaceful pond filled with fish, which makes the whole experience even better. The guacamole is a must-have starter, and it’s always a great time.

Great food, friendly service, and an unexpected pond in the middle of the courtyard with ducks. It was a fun experience.
