Recently heard about this place and decided to give it a try. After trying it, it’s definitly on my top 5 Vietnamese place to eat in Edmonton. They have more unique dishes that you can’t get at majority of the Vietnamese restaurant. The service was good. Everyone was very friendly. The banh was loaded also. They don’t cheap out. Feels more like a cafe where you place your order and eat which I like. Can’t wait to come back and try the other dishes.

Not just the best Vietnamese I’ve had, but the best soup I’ve ever had period. Just unreal. The atmosphere and the service were perfect too. They are so nice.

I got the pork crab shrimp soup. Unreal. Those dumplings were also divine. Will be back!!!

Visited Mai Mai a couple of times now and had mixed but overall positive experiences. The Bún Bò Huế was flavorful but a bit too oily for my taste. On the other hand, my favourites are the Vietnamese Crepes, and the Caramelized Pork Belly and Egg Bánh Mì.

Service was good and friendly throughout. Prices are a bit on the higher side overall, so it may not be an everyday spot.

The restaurant itself is very small, so expect wait times during lunch and dinner hours.

Small place, like the lantern decoration. The spring roll was fried well. The bbh flavor is much more mild than what I’m use to though. Really great presentation with the good. The pickled veggies were a nice touch.

The decor was nice, with paper lanterns on the ceiling. The food was awesome! I really loved the chicken wings and lime beef salad. The crepe was delightful. Everything was plated so beautifully .

We ordered to go and now I’m trying to find an excuse to go back for sure!!

Loved the flavours, staff answered my inquiries, and the wait times were reasonable. Price per portion were comparable to other places!

The only downside for us is y’all are far from where we reside!
If you are in the neighbourhood it’s a must try!

Delicious! Their lime beef salad, pho, vermicelli and phries were so yummy! Each dish had a unique taste. Comfortable and clean interior! The waitress was attentive too. I loved the coconut coffee!

Liked the food and the service was quick and nice! The phries were interesting as they captured the flavour of pho within the fries! Will definitely come back in the future 🙂

This hidden gem is a must try!

Probably my favourite Vietnamese spot in the city! Mai Mai gets everything right — from flavour to presentation to hospitality. Their tofu is truly next-level; the way it’s cooked and seasoned is unlike anywhere else. I usually go for the vermicelli bowls and banh mi, and they’re consistently fantastic — fresh, vibrant, and uniquely presented.

The chili oil? Absolute perfection — just the right amount of heat and depth. You can tell they put real heart into their food. Service is always warm and attentive, and I love that they even supply to Sea Change Brewing — a great local connection.

Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for bold, authentic Vietnamese flavours with a twist. A must-try!
