My wife and I happen to stumble across this place on our way from Columbia to Bonneau. Some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. Living in Berkeley County good food like this is hard to find! Everything has become commercialized.

Overall, a great place to pick up some local BBQ quick and head home to eat and relax.
Pros: Good food with healthy servings and a wonderful staff. My preference is the ribs and pulled pork. Enjoy the potato salad, slaw, and rice with hash for an extra tasty meal.
Cons: The chicken just looked soggy. If you add sauce (told it was house BBQ but was a little spicy), prepare for some extra added vinegar. I understand this is the south, but a vinegar base does not mean that’s all BBQ should taste like. Without sauce, it’s excellent, though. The dining room is large and unimpressive, however perfectly functional. It’s BBQ, not a high-end restaurant.

Great pulled pork! The buffet had a great selection, however there’s not any brisket. The staff was VERY friendly and welcoming for this was my first visit to Bar-B-Que Hut. The buffet was very reasonably priced and stocked even towards the end of the time.

Loved the barbecue and the hash!! Hush puppies were excellent as well. The other sides tasted like something grandma had made. Service was friendly and welcoming. I liked the dining room, it was cozy and old fashioned.
