Mackie’s has been our go-to restaurant since we discovered it. On-street parking is generally easy. They make their own breads and their specials are always good. I often get their “waffle nugs”; they have different flavors each day; apple crisp is wonderful, egg-nog nugs, etc. I love their vegetable omelet (we get it without mushrooms, cheddar cheese and a little cream cheese, onions in the home fries). Our adult kids love it also. I think the only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was the quiche.. It was good but not as good as the omelets. My wife has gotten it and liked it a lot. They have mimosas – many flavors – many, many. I’m not sure what other liquors they serve. Portions are generally large; my wife and I routinely take half of our meals home. Prices are great. Often we’ll order a third meal (usually french toast or nugs) to bring home, too. We usually go during quieter hours; when it’s busy it can get quite noisy. (old guy, bad hearing…) Service is always good, but now we’re regulars and usually go at off hours. We highly recommend Mackie’s!

Don’t know what took me so long to go to this place. Breakfast is amazing there. Staff is super friendly, and the mimosa selection is HUGH! Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

William Mackie commented on a public post on Facebook that “She is where she belongs” in regards to the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minnesota.
Do not eat here, and do not support this violent rhetoric.

This is a wonderful place to have breakfast. Everything is delicious and they even bake their own bread. The walls are covered in art for sale. Fast and friendly service. Will definitely be back, thank you.

We had eggs and French toast, which were very good, with generous portions. The home fries were soft and overcooked and coffee was a little bitter. Great collection of memorabilia on the walls made up for it.

Mackie’s family restaurant: where blandness is on the menu, but at least the omelette is cooked. The bang bang hash browns were also lacking in flavor, but the service was good. The only thing that wasn’t bland was the price – a bit too high for the lack of flavor in the food.

Great spot for a quick breakfast. The food is delicious and the service is quick! I ordered “the Bob,” which is essentially a breakfast sampler – eggs, toast, meat, homefries, pancake, French toast, coffee and a juice… Lots of food but it was so tasty, I’m embarrassed to say I ate it all.
As of mid-June 2020 they’ve got a few tables for outside dining, so stop by in the morning for a quick bite!

I’m a traveler and don’t know much about local history, but thank goodness for family restaurants. Showing a very good breakfast sandwich with an extra sausage patty. All else is standard.
