My experience at Bella Vie was absolutely beyond incredible. From the moment I walked in with my mother and my fiancé, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The service was truly exceptional every staff member was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.
Now the food… there are truly no words. Every dish was bursting with flavor and made with so much care. You can taste the quality and passion in every bite. It’s the kind of food that makes you stop mid conversation just to appreciate how good it is. Absolutely unforgettable!
We also have to highlight the owner, who is genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve met. He went out of his way to make sure our experience was perfect. You can tell he pours his heart into this place, and it shows in the atmosphere, the service, and especially the food.

The food here was truly outstanding, and the setting is stunning—especially the lakeside view at the back. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting, with a clean, well-kept space. The staff provided attentive and professional service, making the experience feel both special and effortless.

I will start by saying that my dinner ( a truly wonderful experience) at this restaurant ended up being a night like few others, Mike the owner is a true entertainer, with a great personality, he did everything possible and impossible to make us enjoy every moment, the food is very exquisite, they have a very good selection of wines, their staff is very friendly and respond quickly to any request you made . In my personal opinion, this is one of those restaurants that it should be visited with friends, family,alone, in happiness and in sadness, and it will never disappoint you !! Looking forward to reserve a table at the deck right next to the water at sunset.

Good Experience! We ordered baked clams as an appetizer and it was okay. Then, Short ribs and stuffed the veal chop special for dinner both were very good. As for dessert we ordered banana foster which they made in front of you it was the dessert special for the night it was excellent. The wait staff were all very nice and helpful!

What an absolutely wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner we had!! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the drinks were out of this world!! The romantic ambience is definitely one to go for and the owner is a sweetheart!!! Will definitely be back!

Excellent food and ambiente. Salmon very well prepared and carrot soup was incredibly tasty. Also Lemoncello tart, Chocolate and Cheesecake were delicious.

I had a magnificent time at this amazing restaurant this evening. The the service, food and drinks were fantastic. I was expressed the the food portion and how great it tasted. I ordered the pork chop and mozzarella….wow that was delicious. I celebrated an early mother’s day with my wife and couldn’t find a place to go and decided to try this restaurant. I’m so glad we chose this place. I think we found our new favorite restaurant. By the way the waterfront view was spectacular and just gorgeous. We sat by the window which was the best seat in the house. We were treated like royalty.

Long Island Restaurant Week Review: Tried out Bella Vie in Bay Shore. From start to finish, my first experience here was amazing!
Located in Bay Shore and situated on a lake, this restaurant is gorgeous! A weird side note, they don’t have a parking lot. You’ll need to find a spot on the street. They have street parking on both sides of the street, but you might have to walk across a busy road.
Everything was well spaced out. I love that they have hand sanitizer bottles on each table! All the staff were wearing masks. I was able to make a reservation on OpenTable which is a plus.
Inside, the restaurant is gorgeous! The decor is so pretty. I really loved the quaint but elegant feel I got here. I was given what I like to think is the best seat in the house. We were able to look out at the lake and watch the sunset. They also have a tent outdoors with seating if you’d like to remain outdoors during these times. During the summer, I’m sure it’s beautiful to sit out and look at the lake.
The prices were great on both the RW menu and the regular menu. There are no substitutions on the RW menu. The only thing I was disappointed in was the choice for dessert. The only option was a tiny piece of NY cheesecake. We took them home and opted to eat a better dessert in house, but we had to pay full price!
The service was some of the best I’ve ever received! Our server Lindsay was so friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu! They was super attentive. My water glass kept being refilled and even offered us more bread. Lindsay checked on our table frequently. In fact, all of the staff here were excellent! The ticket times were a bit long, but I was just enjoying my view and relaxing, so I didn’t mind.
The food…YUM! I ordered from both the RW menu, and the regular one. The portions were not huge, but I did leave satisfied. I’ll be reviewing what I tried:
-Complimentary Bread with butter and/or oil & Bruschetta Crostini: Fresh bread, delicious bruschetta. I was offered seconds which is a plus!!
-Roman Style Pizza (Regular App): So delicious! Great for sharing between a few people. The pizza dough was cooked perfectly. Loved all of the toppings! 5 out of 5 stars
-Fritto Misto (RW App): The portion wasn’t big, but it was a perfect amount for one person. The shrimp were fried to perfection and same with the calamari. I also really enjoyed the zucchini. The honey chipotle sauce was fantastic! 5 out of 5 stars
-Caesar Salad (RW App): Perfect portion with very fresh ingredients. 5 out of 5 stars
-Gnocchi Alla Bava (RW Entree): Nice sized portion of delicious gnocchi. If you’re a huge fan of truffle like myself, this is a must order. Everything from the sauce to the onions were so flavorful! 5 out of 5 stars
-Short Ribs (RW Entree): While there was great flavor, the portion was very tiny. My Fiancé would have wanted a bit more. It came with a small scoop of mashed potatoes and some veggies. 3.5 out of 5 stars
-Creme Brûlée (Regular Dessert): Wow this was a great way to end the night. This was a much different Creme Brûlée then I’ve ever had in the past. It almost tasted citrusy. I really enjoyed it. 5 out of 5 stars
Overall, I was highly impressed with this restaurant and will definitely be back!

I was there for a benefit.They treated us very well around 32 people. The appetizers were fantastic, Fried calamari, roasted eggplant on bread and rice balls. The Caesar salad was tasty but very small. For dinner I had a short ribs they were absolutely fantastic very moist usually they are drying at other places. My only complaint is that the portions were extremely small.
