Absolutely incredible—an absolute must try!

We ordered the UT-Style Chimichurri, Kompas King, and Korean Steak tacos, along with Carne Asada Fries, a side of Esquites and a frozen horchata Every single item was packed with flavor and seriously delicious.

We’ll definitely be stopping by again next time we’re in the area!

Kompas Taqueria was an absolute HOME RUN.

First of all… the nachos were literally FAMILY SIZE. I’m not even exaggerating — the portion was massive, loaded, and every single bite was packed with flavor. Fresh ingredients, perfect seasoning, and the kind of meal that makes you pause and say, “Okay… this place is the real deal.”

And the highlight? The ice cream.

I seriously wish I had taken a picture because it was absolutely to die for. One of those desserts that’s so good it becomes the thing you keep thinking about after you leave. Creamy, rich, and just the perfect ending to an already amazing meal.

Service was friendly, fast, and welcoming, and the atmosphere made it feel like a hidden gem you almost don’t want to tell people about — but you HAVE to, because it’s that good.

I will 100% be back.

Lots of delicious taco options! I will definitely be coming back. The Tinga (right side of the picture) was probably my favorite, but all were so good!

I almost don’t want to leave five stars because I want this place to remain a secret. It is soooo amazing. My favorite go to restaurant. The nachos with bbq pork is the best.

My husband and I came in for Taco Tuesday lunch and tried the Mahi-Mahi, Korean Beef, Al Pastor, and the OG tacos. I originally planned to try the Chicken Pastor, but after reading some reviews I switched to the Mahi-Mahi — and I wish I hadn’t. The fish taco was dry, lacked flavor, and definitely wasn’t worth it.

The Al Pastor and Korean Beef were the clear winners — super tasty and well-seasoned. The corn tortillas tasted fresh, and the guacamole was good, just a bit heavy on the onion for our taste.

Two tacos and chips were more than enough to fill us up. Overall, a mixed experience with a couple of solid tacos worth coming back for.

We really like Kompas Taqueria. They have a big menu with “normal” Mexican street tacos and some weird/creative ones. The tacos were very neatly plated. Everything tasted really good! The flavors didn’t match what you’d expect from “traditional” street tacos you’d find in Mexico but I still really liked them.

I ordered:
– “og” carne asada — 4/5
– al pastor — 5/5 will get next time
– carnitas — 5/5 will get next time
My spouse ordered
– something with chicken – 4/5 will try something else next time
– chicken tikka masala – 3/5 was basically what you’d expect (curry in a corn tortilla)

Service was a bit slow, I think we waited about 25 minutes for our tacos and heard some other people complain about the wait. I think they were understaffed

Food was fabulous! So glad we found this place. I got the masala chicken taco and the Korean beef taco. Such great complimentary flavors within each taco.

A great taco spot that you’ll want to come back to and try again. They have quite a variety of creative tacos. I tried the Chicken Masala and Korean Steak. Both were reminiscent of traditional street tacos, but had delicious twists and were generously sized. I also liked that they weren’t greasy like The Smoked Taco can often be. The staff is very kind, and the atmosphere has nice vibes.

I ordered the Steak Kompas Nachos, the chicken masala taco, and the Cajun shrimp taco. The nachos are really good, and perfect for sharing. The steak was a good choice, but I think the chicken would’ve worked well too. I wasn’t overly impressed with the tacos. The masala is interesting, but I wouldn’t order it again, and the Cajun shrimp was good, but not noteworthy. It’s a decent size taco, but this place isn’t worth the cost of the food.

The service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful, and really tried to provide us with a great experience. The restaurant itself is cool and clean. It’s got a great vibe with plenty of seating.

Overall, it didn’t hit the mark for me, but it’s primarily a cost to satisfaction ratio. I’d eat here again, but I’m not motivated on my own dime.

Super tasty tacos! The whole restaurant was SO clean and a great atmosphere. I ordered the OG taco and the Cajun shrimp and enjoyed both of them. We also shared some chips and guacamole as a table and it all tasted very fresh. The guacamole was awesome. My only complaint was the Cajun shrimp taco was supposed to have pickled onions and they were not pickled. Other than that everything was good!
