I had some time to kill before an appointment, so I decided to stop by Iron Chef House for Happy Hour, based on what I saw on their website. While I didn’t see any mention of Happy Hour on the menu posted outside, I figured it might be a separate menu offered inside—so I went in anyway.
I was seated quickly and handed menus, though there wasn’t a Happy Hour menu included. I asked about it and was told they don’t offer Happy Hour anymore, despite it still being listed online. Not a huge deal, since the regular prices weren’t drastically different, so I went ahead and ordered.
I kept it simple: a tuna roll, a salmon roll, and a sparkling rosé. The rosé was just okay—should’ve paid more attention to the brand, which probably explains why it didn’t quite hit the mark. The sushi came out impressively fast, within minutes of ordering. The rolls were basic but fine. However, there was an unexpected sweetness to them that I couldn’t quite place. It wasn’t necessarily bad—just…odd.
Overall, the experience was decent, but nothing that stood out. In my opinion, it’s pretty comparable to most standard sushi spots. The claim on their website that “Sushi by Iron Chef House is the best sushi you can find!” didn’t quite match my experience—but hey, everyone’s taste is different.
To be fair, maybe their signature rolls are better—I had originally gone in with the intention of Happy Hour and chose my rolls based on what was listed on the online menu. If I return, I’d probably give some of their specialty options a shot to see if they live up to the hype.

This restaurant used to be our go-to Japanese place in the area. During our recent visit, the food was decent but could have been more exceptional in freshness and quality. The atmosphere was tidy and clean, and the service was decent. All aspects of the restaurant could be improved to enhance the overall dining experience.

My second time here and I would definitely recommend. Service is quick and it’s an easy going atmosphere. Located in the Mosaic district, there both street parking and garage parking. My husband ordered a bottle of sake. We also ordered the Chicken Karage and Sexy Jalapeño as a starter. We decided to do the Love Boat for Two. Overall, a decent price and would definitely recommend! Everything was delicious.

We love this place. I forgot to take a photo of the sushi pizza but it is amazing! It melts in your mouth – flaky dough crust with salmon, tuna and seaweed salad with that yummy brown and orange sauce. Their rolls are also amazing. My daughter and I love this place. It’s our go to place in Mosiac! Yum!

Food is good and well made. Presentation can be up and down sometimes. We enjoy the sushi, rolls and drinks.
One turn off is that the main hostess/waitress can often be acting as if she doesn’t want to serve and is not welcoming. Hope they do better.

Service is very good , with welcoming people as soon as you enter. There’s a large (and free) parking garage 2 blocks away which is nice. The setting is comfortable and relaxing. The chicken katsu is probably the best I’ve had. I tried it with the house brown rice, which was flavorful and moist. My son had various sushi rolls.

Came here for a break from the office. Working lunch as I call em. Quiet atmosphere yet somewhat small, with high quality service. The sushi was run of the mill. Wide variety of sauces and limited drink menu.
If you’re looking for a quick bite in between meetings you’re at the right place.

Went on a Friday night. Was average busy but half of restaurant was cornered off for pickup orders. We came in just behind another couple followed by a single. Hostess was kinda rude and sat the single before us at a large table which didn’t make much sense. Anyway, sushi rolls were unique to include Super Toro, and Irom Chef Special but slices of sashimi were on smaller side than other sushi places I have been. Service was fine. Will probably not go back as plenty of other better sushi places in area.

Great atmosphere with friendly, quick service. The food itself wasn’t the best sushi I’ve had in the area- so I was a little disappointed. It didn’t taste bad, just average. There are better sushi places around, so probably won’t come here again unless friends want to go.

Cute little sushi and Japanese cuisine place. I tried ordering in Japanese. However, the staff are from China and do not speak Japanese.
