Maki Moose, while a great idea, tends to miss the mark. The prices are too high for the area, the consistency is lacking, and the food/drinks can easily be identified as “off the shelf with minimal effort”. The baked goods are obviously from a supplier and the drinks are simply “throw together and see what sticks”. The “hand-crafted lemonade” consists of frozen grocery store fruit, Monin syrups, and Country Time powdered lemonade in an $8 cup.
The staff is mostly hit or miss, consisting of high school girls and a couple older folks. Some of them are very friendly.
All in all, if you’re a die-hard local business supporter, stop in. Otherwise, save on your drink and treat budget, theres a Dunkin 12 minutes up the road in Millinocket.

Great cappuccino and delicious banana bread! Many of the baked goods are homemade. There’s a huge selection of specialty coffee drinks too! Cute, welcoming place – definitely worth stopping by!
