The food here is really good. I went with a group of people and everyone got something different and there really wasn’t a bad dish. The only complaint I have is that I wish I would have known the baked beans had cooked onions in it. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was top notch and our waiter Willie was exceptional. He was able to keep our drinks full with out having to be asked even 1 time. Worth a trip for sure and we will be back. We even got a chance to meet the owner as he came and checked on our table.

First visit, lunch. Cool place, rustic, old barn wood. Mostly elderly crowd which I like to see, they know what’s up. Good service, drinks and appetizer arrived very quickly. Cheese curds prepared perfectly. Catfish BLT was quite large and wife said it was good. The ribs were firm and smoked so well, fantastic. Sauces are pretty basic, spicy BBQ had no heat but best flavor. Bourbon BBQ sauce was too bourbony, first time I’ve experienced that. Cole slaw was fresh and crunchy, jalepeno corn had good amount of heat, very smokey.

Giving them a 4.5 stars. Service was great, the fried pickles were great, good flavor. My wife had the one meat platter with pulled pork which she said was excellent. High praise from her. She had mac and cheese and green beans, all of which she said we’re excellent. I had the brisket platter with tanglers and cottage cheese. The brisket had excellent flavor but had a lot of grease to where the sauce would not stick to the meat when dipped.
And I thought the pieces were cut into 3″ lengths and at 1/8″ thick so to me for a $14 platter should give you a little more meat. My wife got a nice sized serving of her pulled pork and I believe that it was $13 for hers. My onion rings had a great seasoning on them and I got quite a few for an additional $2 charge .
All in all a great experience, I think the boys from Steamboat Rock have what it takes to make it.

The atmosphere was nice, it was clean and well kept. Service was excellent, our server had only been there a couple days but was very good, he gets an A+. Now on to the food, it was ok. The sides were pretty good but to be completely honest all of our meats were a bit dry and over cooked, not burnt just over done. The sauces we’re good, none of them were outstanding but the Memphis was the best.

Went here for a pre-wedding celebration and it was really good food! I was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Waitress and owner are extremely friendly. Mac and cheese and beans were so good. My daughter loved the green beans, so did I. Basically everything there was delicious! If I’m ever back in town, I’ll be sure to stop by!

Went here again, meal platters are amazing, I love the BBQ here. Met the owner and they are awesome, asked if I was a local and sat and chatted for a bit, I love the service here, if your looking for smokey d’s BBQ but better, come here it is worth the detour!!!

My boyfriend and I each got the two meats entrée. The brisket and pulled pork were delicious! The burnt ends were phenomenal. They were so tender and flavorful. Everything was good. Will be back again soon.

Great place, friendly staff. Not busy so service was quick. I had the Steamboat bowl which consists of two eggs, choice of meat (I had a sausage patty), grilled green pepper, onions, cheddar/mozzarella cheese mix and hash browns. Very tasty.

The smoked meats were amazing – we had ribs & the smoked turkey – Mama’s beans were so good!
