This is where the locals eat!
We love stopping here during our many trips from Twin Cities to Rochester and back.
The breakfast reminded me of hearty farm breakfasts. We could taste the difference it makes with fresh ingredients. They put a lot of care into preparing the meals and delivering to the table. Again, it felt like being on the family farm.
Everyone is friendly and the locals stream in all morning!

Small town cafe serving the locals since 1984 a complete menu of breakfast, lunch and made from scratch pies and homemade soups. Typical interior of wood booths with flat cushions, padded chairs and tables and low breakfast counter. Our Coffee Mill Club Wrap came as a garden veggie tortilla cut in three with thin slices of ham and turkey with bacon crumbles, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. A small handful of chips and a pickle spear come with it. Service was friendly and efficient.

We were in town for a concert at the Carnagie. Went for the fish fry. A small town diner at its best. Our server was friendly, fast and very funny. Food was spot on. Comfort food rules the day here. And don’t forget the pie. Booths, tables and a counter with stools near the kitchen. Priced right with a real sense of community flowing within. Nice to see all the seniors. Check it out when in Zumbrota, a very quaint small town.

Everything you want in a small town diner! Fresh, consistent food with an inviting atmosphere. Friday fish fry of cod or walleye with salad bar. Staff is careful about Covid precautions, giving gloves for salad bar. Good prices and good amount of food.
