Today’s girls trip was snowmobiling and soul food. As we made our way from Vt to Ct we googled soul food places on the way home. Khi and Eli popped up and off we went. We definitely lucked out. Whoever is back there in the kitchen is definitely seasoning the food according to the ancestors whispers, it was seasoned just right. I had the whitings, yams, Mac and cheese and a side of collard greens (do not judge me). Once that mac hit them yams I already knew I was going to sleep in the car. The food didn’t take long and the staff ensured we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the singing coming from the kitchen went along with our singing in the dining area. We will definitely double back. Don’t take my word though, if ever in the area go see for yourself. I don’t know how long they have been in business, but I wish you all the best.

I came here for the first time today with my sisters (not my sisters first time) and husband and man when I say so good I mean it. It’s hard to really find a good soul food spot that hits home. But I’m so glad my sister introduced me to this place because everything was a 10/10. I had the fried chicken, yams, collards, mac and it was definitely worth us traveling an hour! I don’t know why this is showing a 4.1 rating it should be 5 star spot. If you’re looking for a good soul spot and probably was hesitant to try…DON’T BE HESITANT TRY IT LOL. Also I don’t know the name of the man we were speaking to today but thankful you for making us feel welcomed!!

Found this spot by a google search of the best soul food in the Springfield area and found this gem! Drove an hour just to try it, and they did NOT disappoint! Everything was literally so good, the catfish is battered and fried to perfection and so are the wings! The Mac and cheese and yams were to die for! This is a spot that is now on my rotation and I will drive the hour happily! Thank you guys for the delicious meal that was clearly prepared with love May your business prosper always!

My daughter insisted on going here due to a TikTok review. We went, sat down and ate & omg- Food was the BOMB! I got a medium plate which comes with one meat & two sides which consisted of whiting fish, w/ Mac & yams- the plate also comes with rice & gravy. I also added a side of collard greens for an additional 5bucks. Everything was seasoned to perfection! Pricing is definitely reasonable. 5 stars all across the board. I gave 3 stars on the atmosphere due to two of the tables we sat at being dirty but other than that, we’ll definitely be coming back again.

Ordered delivery. I have had macaroni and cheese, meat loaf is my favorite. I’ve had macaroni salad and potato salad. I recently start getting the fish. It’s so good But I didn’t come here to talk about the not homemade cornbread. I came here to talk about the black eye peas. I always get the greens. No matter how salty. Nothing will stop me. But these black eye peas are a whole new level of delicious. Like I can wake up in the middle of the night like a raccoon In a dumpster looking for these specifically. I am in love. My plate today is fish, greens, rice and beans. I didn’t take a pic of the corn bread. Want to punch the cornbread. But anyway, this is so good I am in heaven.

First time at this joint. New to area from NY found this spot on Google. Nice on the inside and I like the lil window order spot reminds me of back home lol Ole Boy who took our order was a cool dude pretty sure he was the owner. I got the fried pork chops Mac, potato salad and greens everything was on point. Only thing is im not to much into the little grain white rice would rather have the long grain white rice but gravy was good wid it. My dude got the fried fish, yams, Mac and potato salad. Portions are big you gonna be mad full. Overall good food, good vibe and good customer Service. Deff going back

In my experience, they don’t have enough staff to keep up with how busy they were. It’s a nice place, but my best friend was upset that they messed up and didn’t say they were out of rice when we ordered. We spent about $60 for 2 meals, drinks, and desserts. There were other customers getting upset they messed up on their orders as well. The food was pretty good. The guy who took our order was very nice, but it seems the staff in the back was more focused on watching the game than making the orders correctly. It seemed like they were a restaurant that just opened, but the guy who took my order said they’ve been open for a long time. I can’t remember the number of years he said. If that’s true, then I definitely expected better service. The food is good, just don’t be surprised if your order is wrong or they are out of things fast. We went on a Sunday around 3 pm.
