If I was rating on just cocktails and service I’d give it full marks, but the food was lacking. Cocktails are nice and balanced, unlike most other places in town that have over sweet drinks.

Was hoping to love it, left mostly disappointed. We made reservation for Valentine’s weekend, I was disappointed to be seated in a corner booth where we were the only couple not facing each other which was a little distracting. Service was great. We ordered the rack of lamb special and scallops from the menu. Scallops were good but not exceptional, lamb was extremely tough and much smaller portion than expected. The cocktail menu was exceptional and I’d return for drinks but I’ve had much better meals for better price points at neighboring restaurants.

We are plant based eaters and SO grateful to Matt for including plant based and vegan options for us ! Such an elevated experience like we’ve had in New York and coming here is a complete package! At my gallery when I tell visitors about local places my first recommendation is always Conifer! Absolutely fantastic and so decadent!

I can’t rave about this new restaurant enough! We came to celebrate my bfs birthday and even though reservations were booked they instruct you to sign up for the wait list. Which we did and got the date and time we wanted fairly quick. The restaurant is a vibe. Super cute inside. The staff was super friendly. The food was ahhhhmazzzing. It’s a pricey dinner but well worth it because the portion was a good size and worth your money. I hope that doesn’t change. Because nothing I dislike more than a pricey dinner is leaving hungry. The chef came by at the end to check on us and offered us a small taster of a dessert! The food came out in a timely matter. Everything had so much flavor and was cooked to perfection. I had the coffee rubbed Tri tip and the chicken dumplings! We are definitely coming back!

Terrible service – had to order dessert from the waitress twice, she never checked in with me about how the food was, and the description of the dessert didn’t match the actual not even close. The matcha cake was supposed to have matcha powder on top but it didn’t.

Fish with almonds was great, but not $55 great. Fried squash with pimento cheese was very good. Steak was dry and seemed to have no seasoning, no butter, no nothing. Not enjoyable. To be fair, we saw other plates of steak that looked more appealing than ours. Drinks were good. As others have mentioned, its simply overpriced. The bang was not worth the buck.

Overall Conifer gets a 3.5. The pluses are a beautiful atmosphere, and creative, delicious, artfully plated dishes. Very nice wine list. The big detractor was the pacing of the courses. The service was rushed, and the server came to our table to talk about dessert before I was even close to finishing my main course. However, go—support this restaurant, and hopefully they will work out the service kinks. The corn rolls and garlic butter alone are worth it. The grilled whole trout was perfection. My companion had the gnocchi-also delicious. The kitchen was on point with everything…except dessert. The dessert we ordered was “buttermilk pie.” It never should have made it to the table. The pastry crust was too tough to cut, the custard layer was barely there, and the whole thing was drowning in whipped cream-as if the pastry chef was hiding it. It was inedible. Nevertheless, I would go again.

I went to Conifer with family and we were a party of 7. We all split 4 appetizers, each had our own entree, drinks and split 3 desserts. We all tried each other’s entrees. Everything tasted incredible and was presented beautifully. The dishes were unique with fresh, high quality ingredients, and cooked with just the right balance of delicious and complex flavors. The desserts were so good, I forgot they were gluten free. We sat on the patio with a lovely view of the trees near the restaurant. I highly recommend Conifer for a delicious, thoughtfully-crafted, seasonal and unique dining experience.
