While the place can seem a bit outdated at first, I ended up liking the restaurant quite a lot once there were some parties seated with us. The owner was extremely friendly along with the cook. I believe they are a wife & husband duo or something similar. Very friendly and made us feel very comfortable!

I was expecting a very nice low-key spot when I arrived at this restaurant, so I will admit my expectations for food were somewhat high. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t as crazy as I thought it would be. We had the meat calzone along with the meat-stuffed canneloni. The meat calzone was very impressive in appearance; super large and looked nice and toasted on the outside. The bread was great. The inside though was pretty standard though; fixings of ham, pepperoni, cheese, and some tomato sauce. It was good, but it lacked a little bit of oomph. We tried it with the marinara sauce on the side. It was tomatoey but lacked a bit of brightness. It also muddled the flavors of the calzone so I ended up liking it more without. It was slightly on the salty side too and I had to drink a lot of water after eating. About a 6/10.

The canneloni was alright as well. I liked the gyro meat inside which was different but I feel like there could have been more herbs and spices to season the whole dish. It was still good though, maybe slightly better than the canneloni. I did hear them microwave the dish in the back though, which made my heart sank for a bit. It turned out to be an alright dish though but again I wasn’t amazed. I felt like the dish again lacked oomph. There was a lot of cheese, tomato, and savory flavors which gave the dish a sort of lasagna-type flavor profile. About a 6/10 as well.

The salad was simple and basic. Good. Could’ve used a bit of oil but it was simple and had good flavor profiles with oregano or the other herbs that they used.

I really wanted to like this restaurant. It seems like it has been around for a while and the owners are so nice and sweet. The food though in my opinion was just okay. Prices are somewhat reasonable, little more on the expensive side but expected.

This is what American stands for , warm greetings . Introduce to Greek tradition. The owner Sophia is why the restaurant still exists! She brings 50 year of her skill to a small town of Fredericksburg va. Stop by , sit awhile and enjoy the atmosphere of Greece. Food is wonderful the best pizza in America. God Bless this family.

This place is absolutely amazing. I am visiting the area for work and I found my go to dinner sport for the rest of my two months here. The owners were incredibly friendly and inviting. It is a small place so, you want to get in early or you may be waiting for a bit, but even then it is well worth the wait.

We stopped by Parthenon Restaurant for a late lunch and the food was great. Let me start by saying upon entering we were greeted by the welcome fragrance of fresh pizza dough and garlic tomato sauce, a deep seeded childhood scent memory that I did not know I was missing. Sophia greeted us at the door, told us to sit anywhere and came to the table for our drink order. Sophia was very helpful when we were ordering and answered all our questions. I ordered the gyro platter and my date ordered the meat and cheese Calzone. Both were unbelievably delicious.
After our meal we chatted with Sophia for some time. It was a great time with great food.

I have ordered take out from here several times and I get so hungry on the drive home from the delicious smell. My favorite dish is spaghetti and meatballs. The dishes are flavorful and simple. The owners are very sweet and it seems like a really nice family-run restaurant.

Do NOT be fooled by the modest interior and exterior. This is definitely a “Don’t judge a book by its cover” type of places.

I was introduced to this place by a friend while I went to MWC right across the street. This place quickly became my favorite restaurant in Fredericksburg. The place has a very cozy feel and it hasn’t be redecorated in about 30 years which adds to the charm. Don’t let the age fool you, it is super clean and well maintained inside. I mean freakishly clean, seriously peek behind the counter and take a look in the kitchen. The bathrooms are spotless as well, I mean pristinely clean. It is a family owned restaurant and they will quickly learn their regulars and they are always friendly.

Their gyros, souvlaki, and pasta dishes are out of control good and you will quickly forget that delivery pizza even existed. Their pizza is hands down the best you will get in the area and is still in my top 2 favorite pizza places ever. I basically haven’t ever had anything bad on the menu, and I’ve probably tried almost all of it. Their baklava is great as well.

Manny and Sophia are lovely people who genuinely care about their establishment, reputation and the food that they serve. They work so incredibly hard.

There is a reason why this place has been there forever, try it out and you will understand!

Found this family restaurant close by the hotel I was staying in. I was going to order to go, but was welcomed to sit down, and enjoy my beer while waiting.

I orderd the 3 topping 16 inch pizza, which included, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and extra cheese. I also ordered two gyro’s.

The pizza was fresh, the crust was crispy, and the meat was real Italian sausage, delicious! The gyro’s were delicious also! The customer service was top notch! I really enjoyed the experience!
