Called in an order I got a fish plate, 10 wings, and fried green tomatoes. Phone service and in person service was good and place was clean. I didn’t get a picture of the fish plate, but my son said he didn’t care for it. My wings were not crispy at all. The skin was actually gummy I guess is a good description.(see pic) very chewy and couldn’t eat the best part SKIN. The fried green tomatoes were a joke. They were fried entirely too long and the inside was basically nonexistent. This was my first and last time trying this restaurant.

Food is awesome, place is always busy, tables are varied in size and can sometimes be reserved. Great catfish. They have a large menu. When crowded it can be very noisy. Cell phone service may vary inside due to decorative metal cladding on ceiling and walls. Almost creates a faraday like cage that interferes with radio waves from towers. Very clean every time we have came. Large parking area. Out door seating is often available with live music or events. Great family friendly staff.

My family and I eat here weekly and are always treated well. The waitress are kind, food is great( love the boudin egg rolls), and the owner is a sweet lady. A lot of work and dedication goes into a small business like this and it always feels like home. Great seafood in the heart of Hernando ❤️

Well didn’t rate food because we never got any… Didn’t rate service because we didn’t really get any service.
We came in and other customer said you can sit anywhere. We stood by a dirty table while trying to flag down a server. At least 5 times the looked as they walked by acting like they did not see us standing there. After 20 standing by the dirty table, I cleared off all the dirty dishes. I went to the men’s restroom to get paper towels to wipe the table. No paper towels in restroom. The owner’s bother in law (great guy) saw what was going on and he brought a towel and cleaned off the table. He stood there visiting with us for about 15 when I asked if he could find our server. She finally came over with menus. Took our drink orders and an Appetizer. She brought my wife tea and me a water but not my beer that I ordered. We waited another 20 minutes. NOTHING, not even eye contact. So I walked to where the servers put in their orders. I was going to just pay for the tea and The appetizer we ordered and did not get. I was 2 foot away from our servers trying to give them my card to pay. They just acted like I wasn’t there and walked off 3 times I tried to get their attention. I did talk to the bartender (she was waiting on twice as may customers as the dark haired girl that’s was suppose to be our server). Anyway I told the bartender what was going and the cancel our appetizer and we were leaving. We had waited 45 minutes after waiting 20 minutes to clean off the table and I still never got a beer nor an appetizer. I would’ve waited on the appetizer if I had just gotten the beer I ordered. We probably would’ve left after we ate the appetizer cause we had enough of this poor service. I have NEVER left a restaurant like that before, and I’ve had some questionable service but I always take in account that the server might be having a bad day. And I still give them a tip. And I don’t just go out to eat every now and then… I travel for a living all over the mid south. I’ll have to say this is the worst service I’ve ever received at any restaurant!

Went to this establishment last night, we ordered several things off the menu. Most of everything was overcooked. The food had no hint of Cajun style taste. Someone from Louisiana knows what that taste is supposed to be. The waitress we had wasn’t friendly and only came to the table twice. The place would be better called a bar and grill. We will definitely not return. Avoid this place at all cost.

2 star rating based off Really needing to update Apple Maps hour of operations just drove 25 mins here bc it stays they are open till 9:30 on Apple Maps.
Walked in at 8:18 and went straight to the bar. Bartender was there and says they aren’t serving food anymore. Which still 42 minutes before closing is crazy to close the kitchen.
But even more so considering I assumed I had an hour and 15 mins pretty much.

The band was playing loud enough to be at the fedex forum, the sides were cold, and everyone that I was with that had the crawfish mashed potatoes was on toilet all night long including myself. Time for the next restaurant to open in your place. The most disappointing part is that I used to love the food here. Maybe a new cook. Maybe trying to get rid of old food from the ice storm. Not sure what the issue is but it needs to be fixed. I can say that the catfish was great, but unfortunately that was the only thing that was good.

The food here is always fabulous! I just can’t understand how anyone is giving this place any bad reviews! We have been coming here for years… it’s actually much nicer under the new management. Shannon is the absolute best ever! We come for her… we stay for the food! If anyone doesn’t can’t stand loud music stay away from anywhere with a live band. This place is small and live music is very loud.

If you manage/own any type of restaurant establishment, I would like to think that making a customer happy would become first priority. After letting 3 other people try my very easy mixed drink, I chose to send it back, because after all, I am the one paying for it. Unfortunately, it was met with snide remarks and rudeness from staff. As a paying customer, I sit and observe very well, so yes I saw it. If you want any kind of business in the near future, I would highly suggest reacting differently.
