On top of being nothing like the picture, the music is obnoxiously loud, inside and outside, and for some reason the volume varies so you can’t get used to it. Alternates between glam hip hop and 2000s Forever 21 music. Sir, this is a muffin sandwich store.
The chipotle sause has a nice flavor and mild kick to it. We didn’t dine in but there were a few tables inside and several more outside beneath umbrellas. Would absolutely come again!
***Have come back again. Still great!
We came again and order was the Classic Americano sandwich and Banana Boat drink. Both were excellent!
You order at the counter, then go and sit down and wait for your number to be called. The service was friendly.
Its next to a main street, but the seating is surounded by plants and umbrellas, so you do feel a little hidden. It’s a great spot to stop for a quick bite. Would definitely go back to try something else!
Pros:
1. Great location with plenty of convenient parking spaces just steps away from the café.
2. Delicious breakfast (we ordered Blast, Dream Come True, two cups of freshly squeezed orange juice, and a raspberry mocha).
3. Fast service – the food and drinks were served quickly.
Cons:
There are not many tables, so it can be hard to find a spot to sit and eat. We were lucky to get a small corner table, but overall the café only has about 8 tables. It would be nicer if there were more seating inside.
Conclusion:
Definitely a great spot for a quick and tasty breakfast. Breakfast for two with drinks came to around $40 – and it was absolutely worth it.
The girl working cashier Saturday morning couldn’t lack any more life inside her. I mentioned it was my first time and asked what was recommended, she couldn’t even give me a straight answer.
I ordered the Americano ( $8.50 ) and added a hash brown ( $1.95 )
Considering the prices of breakfast sandwiches or any sandwich in LA, I’d say it’s reasonably priced. But it’s also nothing that I’d go back for.
With the English muffins being made in house, (according to the cashier) I was hoping for something better but I guess there’s only so much that can be done to an English muffin.
The spicy aioli also isn’t special, it’s very dense and oily. And there’s no flavor, it’s just heat.
The hash brown was also soft and mushy, didn’t add anything special to the sandwich.
The best part to me was how crispy the bacon is.
