The Dexter Creamery is incredible on multiple levels. The building itself is beautiful and welcoming and the owners have done a lovely job of preserving the historical integrity of the turn-of-the-century architecture while incorporating a thriving modern business. The staff was polite and friendly and seamlessly navigated the line out the door by engaging each patron in genuine conversation while keeping the line moving. And the ice cream… Absolutely incredible. It’s the best ice cream I’ve ever had outside of a local Amish dairy farm where they hand churn their own. I can’t wait till they open back up for the season!

Such a great place! Its very clean and well organized, the soft serve ice cream is really tasty and you really can’t beat the variety of toppings. They seem to be always adding new things to the menu, including regular ice cream in a cone, and now they serve Zingerman’s coffee as well. There are games available to hang out if you’d like, and there are stand up tables outside as well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We love to visit whenever we’re in downtown Dexter!

Amazing ice cream store! They have non-dairy almond soft serve and always have 2 different dairy free soft serve sorbet types (dole whip) along with at least one hand scooped sorbet. Many options for vegans and people who are dairy intolerant!

We love Dexter Creamery! They started out with just frozen yogurt and toppings and over time added hard serve (Hudsonville), sorbet (the same Dole whip you get at Disney!!), Along milk ice cream, some groceries like milk and cheese, coffee and likely more! They have board games you can play while you eat your ice cream. They do a lot for the local Dexter community as well.

Lovely staff however my scoop of cherry ice cream was very artificial and my scoop of s’mores was icy. The vegan soft-serve was nice as an option for my dairy-free friend but it was also icy. The toppings offered are the redeeming factor. The staff was also incredibly nice. There are a few tables to sit outside. The vibes were good, but I wouldn’t return for the ice cream.

Possibly the best ice cream I’ve had! Extensive coffee and smoothie selections, too. Cozy atmosphere, and the magical color-changing spoons are super fun (yes, I’m an adult, and I appreciate a little whimsy in this otherwise dark and depressing world).

This place was great!! Massive ice cream bar with tons of awsome toppings, at a decent price! Staff was friendly, helpful and smiling. Cute atmosphere with games and puzzles to play while you enjoy your tasty treat!!

I really like all of the options here. From ice cream to froyo and the different types of toppings, you can get whatever you want! I also really like how you can get toppings on your ice cream scoops! I’ve never seen that! The gal behind the counter was super nice and explained everything to us since this was our first time there and actually, our first time in the city of Dexter!
We got the peanut butter brownie ice cream and topped it with peanuts, brownies, and cherries. Really yummy and one scoop is perfect for 2 people to lightly munch on!
I also really like how you can get cheese and cheese curds haha really cool!
