Keep driving. You’ll find better beef elsewhere. We had tostada plate, torta de carne, y un platillo de enchiladas. Our plates were ordered as take out. The beef was as if it had been reheated. The enchiladas were overly spicy! ️ I wonder if they accidentally used the wrong salsa for the enchiladas. As for the establishment, it is quaint and offers plenty of indoor only seating. When we went, it was pretty busy. Hence the reviews posted by others.

I was in the area and due to the reviews and it being lunchtime I decided to try this place out. It is a mom and pop restaurant and when I arrived, no cars in the parking lot and I was the only customer. There are no prices on the food board and I was quoted prices for different meats by the worker. I ordered a bean tostada, lengua taco and a soda. The food and service were good but the prices I was charged were different than what he told me when I made the order.

I can recommend with good conscience the Tacos de Carne and the Torta de Carne. The meat is super soft and the salsa is just the right amount of spicy!
Good amount of parking with Curbside pick up & To Go orders as well.
The service is great, always take fellow coworkers or friends out to enjoy the food.

The tortas de carne are fantastic. I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of the food. However, the drink sizes got smaller so that was a minus. But still the best tortas in town.

Stopped in after searching Google recommendations for Tortas nearby my location. I was pleasantly surprised by how amazing my food was!
I had the beef torta & a lengua taco, with a mango licuado. Everything was PERFECTION!!!
I never eat all my food, especially when there’s bread involved…but I couldn’t help myself! I ate everything. The salsa was great as well!
I took my husband the second time I went, I wanted to share the experience. This time they also gave us a green sauce (I didn’t get the first time), it was super delicious as well.
Service was wonderful, food is absolutely amazing & I would eat there several more times if our stay was longer. Hidden gem, for sure!

Service was fast! We tried their tortas de jamon and pollo. The aguas frescas were delicious and refreshing so we had to get a second order to go. The place is small and cozy. The staff was friendly and the menu is limited but definitely yummy! Try them out.

This place has never disappointed. We’ve been coming here on and off for about 30 years, and the food, service, and atmosphere have always been consistent. I’m sad to have heard that the older gentleman who always greeted us has passed on. Today, I missed the banter between him and his sister, the cook who always tried to keep him in check or on task when he spoke to the female customers a bit too long. It was all part of the experience. The original Tortas Acapulco, Las Rocas. Simply Delicious!!! Highly recommended.

My friend recently showed me this place. We always like to get Tortas. This by far has been the best experience yet! The torta was so warm and light! It was so delicious! They also have the freshest aguas frescas! The first time I went I drank 2! Sandia and Melon! Superb!
This place is so clean! So clean! I felt very safe eating there! And believe me, since the whole Covid started we havent been out to restaurants much.
I took my son here to eat because I wanted to share a piece of history! They are located in the heart of McAllen. Oh, he enjoyed it so much too! The food was so scrumptious! Can’t wait to bring my mom and other friends here!

Great food when you need something cheap and homemade. Tortas are traditionally made and tacos are some of the best!
