My seafood boil was NOT good. It was watery, powdered tragedy in a bowl lol. My crab legs were dry (barely any food inside) and browned with black specs/black spot disease… The shrimp was good and the sausage was quality.
My server ended up being kind. She came by once and I checked out during that time.
The place itself is family oriented and loud because they are playing many different games and such in the TVs. They also have a sandbox for the kids.
Even the menus were dirty and sticky. Sorry but I won’t be returning.
Between the great service and the fantastic food, this is definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to. Huge shoutout to Raven for making the meal even better!
I complained and the person who brought out the replacement insinuated I should eat faster. He lectured me on the time the food was served vs the time I complained.
Well, the tots came out after the food was served, and the waiter didn’t come back around for ever. I had to walk the tots, myself, back up to the kitchen window to let them know they weren’t cooked all the way through.
I’m a grown adult. I know how to eat. If it was cooked properly, they wouldn’t have lasted more than 5min on the table.
Anyhow….check that your food is cooked properly.
I ordered mozzarella sticks. Lukewarm…a little cold, too. Evidently heat-lamped, but poorly. Taste is bland, reminds me of the ones you buy at the grocery store. Marinara was boring. Ranch was ranch.
The fountain diet Dr. Pepper is not very crisp.
Chicken tenders and onion rings…tenders are very small. Nicely cooked, these are fresh, but bland. Like Cane’s. Honey mustard…inoffensive, but not good.
Onion rings are bland, and the breading doesn’t stick well whatsoever.
Onto the Willie burger and fries…fries are kinda warm, taste acceptable.
The burger’s bottom bun is soaked through and falling apart. It’s good though! Nice flavor profile, good amount of pink in the patty.
All of this for $43 before tip.
The staff is nice enough.
The venue is kinda cool as they can open up most of the restaurant to the outside using garage doors.
Kids are running around, but this isn’t necessarily the restaurant’s fault.
So as with about everything else in San Antonio; this place sucks.
But, if you had to come here, just order a burger and call it done.
My waitress gave me a to-go drink without me asking, so again, the staff isn’t the problem.
