Everything about this place was great, they hosted my grandmothers 68th birthday really well and made her feel very special. Can’t thank them enough for that!

Nicha’s is hands-down one of the best spots for authentic Mexican food in San Antonio!
Every dish is packed with flavor—from the sizzling fajitas to the homemade tortillas, everything tastes fresh and made with love. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and the service is quick, even when they’re busy.
You can tell it’s a family-run place with a lot of heart. The salsa is spicy and delicious, and the portions are generous. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, Nicha’s never disappoints.
If you’re craving real, flavorful Mexican food, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

I got the puffy taco plate and I was shocked they put this little amount of meat??? Disappointing, especially knowing that Nichas is much more expensive than other Mexican restaurants. Come on you guys gotta do better.

This restaurant caught my wife’s eye on the way to visit the San Jose Mission. Afterwards, we were looking for a nice local bite and returned here. We were not disappointed. The crowd was an indication of the great food awaiting us. Our server Travis was very kind, made superb eye contact, and provided professional service. Thank you to the kitchen staff for food well plated, great quality, and temperature that kept warm down to the last bite. Everything was delightfully delicious, generously portioned, and fairly priced.

Been coming here all my life, since it was a little concrete building. The food has always been amazing now I don’t say the cooks haven’t changed from the SUPERB ones that were there when I was a little girl but they are still great! Definitely worth the stop. I know they have other locations but the Original is the best

The line of people vs the wait, was astounding. The waitress, she was beyond great and so personable. Out food was delicious, and that’s an understatement…the mole, I’ve had several and made my own…this was some work of art lol. We don’t go often, its a cool 30 min drive from us on the NE side, but so worth it.

Food was great for the most part we had the mole, chimichanga & chicken quesadilla. only complaint about food was my mole seemed to have cinnamon in it which I’m not used to but they were still good just not my preference. Atmosphere was good and drinks were great. Only complaint about drinks was that the person who was making the drinks was sitting down talking with other employees and started complaining about why she had to make my Paloma. Which our waitress came to ask if we were possibly interested in having frozen instead of on the rocks. We were sitting just a table away from the bartender so she made it a bit uncomfortable. I do not like frozen so I requested on the rocks and declined the frozen offer. No complaints on our waitress though! She was very friendly accommodating & quick. We came on a Saturday night at 9pm 1/31/26.
