The food was awful but the servers were great and so was the atmosphere. This is a place to drink beers and watch football, not eat dinner with the family.

Grilled Caesar Wrap – 1/5 – not enough dressing or chicken.
Fish N Chips – 3/5 – seemed like a small portion although the breading was tasty
Shrimp Salad – 1/5 – no thanks
Alligator bites – 3/5 – dipping sauce was ok

We had so much fun at the dinghy tonight!! We came as a bachelorette party in our wigs and they accepted our song requests! The bartender with a mullet also took a picture with our cut out picture of the groom! Love that guy and he was super cute also!

We came to eat some alligator bites and sandwiches while sightseeing around 2p.m. Turned out there was USA-Canada Hockey match at the Olympics at 8a.m.
Entering a full blown winning party was definitely an unforgettable experience. Everyone was super friendly, the food was great. Overall 5 stars to everyone involved!

Was only here for a quick beverage but fantastic location near the beach with indoor and outdoor seating along with bar seating.

The hosts and servers were fantastic and kind, fun and enjoyable beach vibes.

Didn’t get to try the food but looked and smelled delicious. Glad we stopped in and would be great if with a larger group!

SAVE YOURSELF AND GO ANYWHERE RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET! MUCH better food and drinks there! NOT here.
I walked in and then right out. So terrible and uncomfortable from the get go. Also, whoever is replying to these reviews should not be working in service/hospitality. They reply to anyone that had a bad experience by either calling them a liar about going there or simply gets reprimanded. Can’t wait to see what reply they got for me lol. BTW, the only people that come here are single 50+ year old men. Beware. Oh & the bartender SUCKS! Close this business already.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. We had the most offensive experience here. We are traveling from out of state, and the officer stationed outside scanned our ids and ushered us through. When we got inside, the bartender insisted our ids were not valid and asked us to leave. On our way out, we talked to the officer and asked if he could see anything wrong with our ids, trying to understand the situation. He said that he has a scanner, and they did not inside. He was very kind, and went in to speak with them. He told us to go inside, that it should be all good. When we went back in, the bartender treated us terribly. I have never been treated so rudely at any business in my life. She said that she didn’t care if he scanned our ids. The officer even validated them in front of her. She said they made her “uncomfortable” and that it was her decision to refuse us service. I pulled up our states DMV site, and showed her that they matched our ids. We asked to speak to an owner or manager, and she said “that’s me.” She followed us out the door and continued to be nasty the entire time. It was clear this was an ego issue, and she didn’t want to admit that she was wrong in the situation. What’s incredibly ironic in the situation, is that 2 of the 3 people in our group were served here two days ago. I have never been treated so terribly in a business nor have I have I ever been told my id isn’t valid. BEWARE of the bartender circled in the photo.

*EDIT* Address the owner’s reply to my review, the person who’s ID was accused of being “fake” according to the bartender, was served at the Dinghy with that same ID two days prior, no issue. We also watched the bartender the entire time our IDs were in her possession, and she did not use a black light, she used her phone flashlight. Again, this was a clear issue of someone with an oversized ego not to wanting to admit her mistake. Considering all of the owner’s unprofessional responses to the other reviews for this restaurant, I doubt anyone has received adequate customer service training.

Lovely day having lunch at the bar after helping my bf on a shoot of a pool. We had the orange hibiscus cider, lemonade, the fish and chips, side salad which was so good, Jeff got the special which was a chicken bacon ranch wrap that was hot and well-balanced, we had regular fries and cajun fries, we loved it all. Very sweet bartender taking care of us. Highly recommend.

Bartender took me and my friends IDs, we had to wait for the cops to get them back. I showed her a valid license as well as a sc identification card. Her excuse was something along the lines of she could see white light through it? As a LICENSED bartender through the state of S.C I’ve never heard such a thing? The cop seemed annoyed that she’d taken them in the first place and like this was a common occurrence. What a way ruin a reunion between two friends and lose business in your off season

So this was our second night here. We ate at Dinghy’s last night and loved it so we went back. We walked in and sat down like before and NEVER had anyone wait on us. In fact one of the girls walked down to the end where we were at, spoke with a regular, took his order and turned around and walked off. She didn’t even acknowledge us and she was standing right there. We were so disappointed that we walked out and came down the street to another spot to eat.
Can’t even review the food because we never were waited on.

Great little place to stop in and eat on the Isle of Palms. Laid back “dive bar” type atmosphere. I had the Caesar salad with grilled chicken, and it was great. The staff were all kind and accommodating. The prices were reasonable for the area. Perfect place for a quick lunch in a laid back setting.
