Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Fish Market – Fresh stone crab with lovely river views

We tried Garcia’s Seafood Grille & Fish Market after visiting the History Museum, as we were looking for a place serving stone crab in Miami. On the ground floor, there is a seafood counter displaying different sizes of stone crab claws and other fresh catches, while the actual restaurant is upstairs. I highly recommend sitting on the outdoor terrace on the second floor — the river view is very relaxing and pleasant.

We ordered large stone crab claws, which were very fresh and flavorful. The restaurant had already cracked the shells for us, so it was easy to eat — a thoughtful detail that we really appreciated. We also tried the Chilean seabass; the fish itself was nicely cooked, though the portion was a bit small. For sides, we chose mashed potatoes and fried plantains, which were just average. We also ordered a bottle of Kim Crawford, it was match perfectly with our seafood.

The prices are on the higher side, but overall the ambiance and service were excellent, making it a worthwhile experience — especially if you want to try stone crab in Miami.

I’m not from here but this is the first place I visited on my trip to Miami and I was not disappointed. The food is fairly priced for seafood and the portions are quite large. I truly wasn’t expecting the grilled seafood platter to be so big and so I accidentally ordered way too much. Everything I tried was delicious and I especially loved my spicy inferno margarita.

Garcia‘s was the best meal we had in Miami by far. The stone crab, scallops, shrimp, and lobster were amazing. I actually enjoyed octopus for the first time. The cocktails were fantastic! It’s mighty rare that I get my socks knocked off at a restaurant. They were knocked off all right.

Some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The staff was very polite and prompt and the atmosphere was great out on the deck overlooking the Miami River. We tasted several of their signature dishes, the blackened yellowtail was incredible, the Mahi Mahi in Peruvian sauce was soook delicious, and the grilled seafood platter gave a great taste of everything else. All was cooked to perfection and I could make a beverage company out of the Peruvian sauce it was so good. Easy parking out front and worth the stop.

Love Gracias fried jumbo shrimp. They’re juicy and deliciously seasoned. They give you 5 but I can eat a bucket of them. We loved the snapper filet with rice and French fries. The fries are usually stale so it’s best to request fresh. Lychee Martini is a must. Cheesecake is yummy. Servers are sweet and attentive…. Outside can be cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing, but its surrounding areas are nice for a stroll after dinner and fun to watch all the boats sail by and catch the sunset. You can valet or try and find street parking for a fee

Always wanted to come to Garcia’s and tonight turn out to be thr night. Love the place. Market place on thr first floor, restaurant on thr second. Casual but trendy. Super full but was seated within minutes. Super attentive staff. We ate lobster bisque, 2 different kinds of raw oysters and lobster Mac and cheese. My friend had white wine, I had the lychee martini. Was so so good and fresh. I have always known of Garcia’s. They were a client of mine when I work for incredible fish. I am so glad I came. I will be back again.

I wanted to love it so much but they forgot the salt. Shrimp cocktail on a bed of barely green romaine; shrimp was unseasoned. Lobster bisque didn’t have any lobster and tasted powdery. Grouper chowder had the flavor but no actual grouper. I am big on oysters and have grown up on both east & west coast oysters so we ordered both but they were both flavorless in a way I haven’t tasted in years (pretty sure one was frozen). We held out for the stone crabs and they were very buttery secondary to their natural texture but once again, salt was not added to the water so they were bland (mustard sauce kind of helped).

Pros include the amazing service. They really let us hang and enjoy the views. Really great ambiance and boat watching. Would come back for the deck to be honest but probably would try something else (food wise).

Garcia’s is a well-known Miami spot with a market vibe downstairs and a restaurant upstairs. I’ve visited before without being overly impressed but enjoyed the Blackened Dolphin this time, it was well-cooked with good service. Overall, I consider it a decent place for seafood.

If you need further analysis or specific details, let me know!

This place is really nice on the water. The food was really good and the environment is phenomenal, ask to sit outside by the bay and watch the boats and wildlife.
