After living in the City for over 6 years and eating some of the best italian deli sandwiches, I would have thought it was difficult to find similar places to Grazianos or D’Amatos in the South Burbs.
But this place has some amazing deli meats of the highest quality and I dont have to travel over 40 miles to get it.
This place looks like a typical italian deli and market in the Little Italy neighborhood. The Godfather sub with supprasata, prosciutto, capicola & mortadella was amazing on a hard roll. The chew of the bread with high quality meats and the dressing with lettuce, tomato, onion and provolone was like being in Little Italy. Also, the pricing is fair and the sub was bigger than chain restos and tastier.
And their cannoli was also a treat. Sweet ricotta and pistachio was very enjoyable.
Lastly, the staff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Definitely my new italian deli!

Don’t get me wrong, the food is good. But we ordered cheese lasagna for Christmas and after an hour and a half of cooking, we cut it open to find it as meat lasagna. Not happy guests that were vegetarian. Also, have you ever actually cooked your lasagna based on the instructions you provide? 325 for 45 minutes barely gets it warm.

I had asked Ambrosino’s if they would put together some party trays for a little Christmas cheer to send to one of my clients. They did a great job I received compliments and they made my client happy first thing in the morning. I had asked ambrosinos to go above and beyond their normal scope of service to help me out and they did! Every time I get something for here it is perfect. They have a lot of options. Everything from Italian food to deli sandwiches. Also you can get pizza set ups here for a great price and they are really tasty.

Awesome Italian specialty shop. Small grocery store that stocks all the good stuff, homemade pasta and sauce, fresh bread and homemade salads. Also peppers and olives. They have the best homemade sausage! Hot dinners and lunches are the best!

You don’t need to leave Frankfort to experience one of the elite Italian delis in the Chicagoland area. Everything is excellent here and the sub sandwiches are top tier. I cannot recommend this place enough. I have been going here since I was a kid and we stop by every time we visit family.

We had Ambrosino’s cater for Xmas Eve! Chicken piccata, braciola and spaghetti with clam sauce, it was excellent!!!!! We also get all the italian meats for Italian easter pie from Ambrosino’s. They are the best!

Call before you drive here. They do close well before their posted closing sometimes. Update 02/22/26: I ordered the chicken parm sandwich today and it was the worst chicken parm I ever had. It’s bad, the chicken wasn’t breaded and it’s small for the price. The Italian sub was delicious. The workers were very pleasant today and they seemed to enjoy working with each other. I gave it 4 stars because the chicken parm is the only bad thing I’ve ever had here. Everything else I’ve had is delicious, especially their hot Italian sausage
