Great little diner in Whiteville. It’s where the locals eat. Usually have a daily special. I had the chicken and pastry,it was as delicious. When in Whiteville be sure to check them out.

Former owner of 701 Drive-in opened the Etna Diner in Courthouse square. They serve classic American food: short order breakfast, burgers, fries, dogs, etc… they also do a wonderful southern style lunch special on weekdays. Building is small, but eating in is possible. Drive through is busy for the rush hours. Call ahead and pickup is available.

Same owners as the old 701 Drive In. Great folks! Wish they’d open a Charlotte location. Best steak sandwich!

The owner is rude and he down grades his employees. He talks to them like they are animals. Food is over price for its quality. Its not even that great. Chili looks like it was reheated and used for multiple days. Just over all a bad experience.

This resturant is not Gluten- Free friendly. Today was my first time going here. Their menu was hard to read with only abriviations and no explanations. I ordered a bunless bacon cheese burger. The cook assembling the order started making the burger with a bun. So I reminded the casher that it was supposed to be bunless, cause I’m gluten free. The cook corrected my burger by taking off the bun and continuing to assembel it, never getting new items that didn’t touch the bun. When they brought me my burger I informed them I couldn’t eat this burger cause it touched the bun and it would make me sick for days cause I’m gluten-free. Then the casher informed me that all their burgers contain wheat, as if I should have know that some how. I would not recommend this place to someone Gluten-free, theres no way of knowing an item contains wheat or not. They did refund me the price of my burger.

If you’re looking for old school burgers and hotdogs at a fair price then look no further. I haven’t had burgers this good since I was a child. I highly recommend this restaurant. And food prep is very quick. No long lines because they have a speedy system in place. Negatives are that the parking is very limited. This is only because the area around the building was developed after establishment and have squeezed them in but the drive thru moves quickly. Also they close at 2pm which is a little early for me. But overall, I think it’s a great place and I hope to see you there.

Breakfast diner owned & operated by 2 Whiteville locals. It’s a nice hang out for people to enjoy some conversation or hit the drive-thru and go. The fresh link sausage is excellent. Ignore the whiner reviews. Etna Diner is quirky, but always good.
