The best ham calzone I’ve ever had… and I don’t say that lightly. I work nearby, so we order from here a lot, and everything has been consistently amazing and perfectly seasoned. I love that the calzone doesn’t have those weird giant chunks you get at some places. Plus, they actually give you a decent amount of sauce… not the sad 2 ounces that’s gone after one bite.
It’s so good I could realistically eat it every day and not get bored. The staff is super friendly, the place is clean and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about what they’re serving. My only complaint is the parking lot… it’s a little rough, but I’d gladly circle it five times for that calzone. Worth it every single time!!

Great food, better people. We ordered something incorrectly for the Wednesday Special. Owner gave us the correct size without hesitation when we didn’t even ask. I’ll always order from here and the Ortley spot.

First time here in the never ending quest to find the best Italian food. Mia’s did not disappoint. Pictured is the baked ziti Siciliano. Eggplant really made this dish perfect.
Place looks like it was recently renovated as the booths and tables are all pretty new. Very clean dining area.

Endless Tickets
We order take-out & delivery from Mia’s at least twice a week and the food is always excellent and fresh. The quality of the food has been consistent over the years which says a lot — especially since so many of the newer restaurants in the Toms River area have gone downhill or are out-of-business due to the pandemic and/or the hugely inflated food prices.

Wow. I am done trying to find a somewhat edible pizza in Toms River. Unless you want to eat it with a knife and spoon because everywhere I’ve tried they make it soupy just like this place! (Even when folded in half it still won’t stand up.) Just sad. I will show you what I received with pics. It was supposed to be a full mushroom and half onion. Well the mushrooms were very sparse on most of pie and I had raw onions on the other half! Come on, am I eating a salad? They were RAW!! Gross! They didn’t even try to separate the onion slices! Lazy. To my surprise the crust had a nice flavor which is the only positive thing I will write for this establishment but that was ruined with the toppings and the soupy consistency resting on the crust.

Tonight’s picks: Fried calamari fresh, huge- not rubbery – and light breading – not frozen. LINGUINE a la FRA DIVOLO.. Cooked to perfection al dente, 8-10 huge delicious spicy shrimp. Just the right amount of garlic and pepper. Pizzas are colossal. They serve the highest quality ingredients – that’s the difference at MIA’S TOMS RIVER.
My favorite spot to chill and be treated like Family!!
Bravo Mia’s for another outstanding experience. Visit them in ORTLEY too!

Mia’s is always on point. Their bread- i can go there just to eat that! Vodka pie is awesome. Dinners & Sandwiches are fresh & tasty. Meatballs are very good! Delivery is always pleasant!
