Went here on a busy Sunday and got sat with my family pretty quickly. All the food came out expeditiously and was incredible. The guac was amazing, hard not to get full on chips. I got a skirt steak cooked to perfection, and you must get the street corn. Insane. Wanted to take a bucket of it home. Great atmosphere as well. Lots of beautiful people. You’ll love if you like Mexican food but also lots of other dishes available. Wanted to get the deep fried ice cream but was too full We’ll be back

My favorite restaurant for the last 30+ years. The Newport Beach location provides a calm and scenic atmosphere. The Enchiladas Poblanos is the best! I’ve had mole all over the world and nothing compares to Javier’s recipe, not to thick or sweet, just the right amount of heat with a ton of flavor paired with moist shredded chicken. Chef’s kiss!! Their salsa is the best I’ve ever had and I’ve tried everything. My favorite drink is the Black Mamba. Soooo good! Service is always spot on. Overall, nothing is better than Javier’s. Worth every penny.

Javier’s in Newport Beach has such a great vibe and a beautiful oceanfront location.it’s always a stunning place to go. The food was delicious as expected, but it took more than 50 minutes for our dishes to arrive. I know weekends can get really busy, but I honestly expected a bit more from Javier’s in terms of timing and service. Still, the atmosphere and flavors made it an enjoyable visit overall, just be prepared for a longer wait on busy days.

The mexican food at javier’s is undeniably top of the line for a sit down restaurant in a renovated location fit for an after Oscar’s celebration. The tacos are delicatable, the shrimp dishes may me some of the best I’ve ever had and anything with mole sauce may also be the best I’ve ever had. The issue i have with javiers is that it gives you the feel such over the top opulence that I cant help but feel its owned and operated by a drug cartel, or a casino. A three taco a la carte meal for $30, shrimp dishes for upwards of $60 and mini diet cokes for $5. Totally inaccessible for the general public, which is a shame. At the end of the day, I’d rather go get a great taco or Chile relleno at el tarasco in el Segundo fo $5 and ne just as delicious. If you go, have fun. Its beautiful but get a mortgage first.

This is a must try. Amazing service and food! The atmosphere here is great as well. Come for the food and service but stay because everything here is great! I had the surf and turf and honestly, it was amazing. Steak was perfect and so was the lobster! Drinks are well made and the bar tenders are amazing as well! I will definitely come back again for the service and food!

Javier’s in Newport Beach never disappoints! The oceanfront views, lively ambiance, and upscale coastal vibes make it a favorite for date nights or celebrations. The seafood enchiladas and margaritas are incredible, and the service is always on point. Probably the best salsa in all of Orange County. A stunning spot where great food meets beachside luxury.

Entering Javier’s at newport beach was an experience of itself. Loved the layout of the restaurant from when walking in which was dark and loud and then opening up to the main room in the back which was very bright, colorful and high energy. This set the mood and ambiance. The food was delicious. The cocktails definitely hit the mark. It felt I was at a resort in Mexico which I appreicate. The only drawback was the service – our server was not as attentive we’d like. We had to hunter our server down to provide us service. Maybe because it was busy but still had to ask several times to help us.
Overall, I’ll definitely be there again and can’t wait for the next visit.

The food and atmosphere was great. The whole place is big, and it has a great ambiance. My hubby ordered the best short ribs, they were mole short ribs. However everything we ordered was yummy

Feeling REALLY disappointed in this experience. My expectations were too high. If you go to Javier’s, lower your expectations and you’ll probably enjoy it. The food had very little flavor and when we addressed the lack of flavor to the waiter, we asked for some chipotle sauce to help with this, they charged us $5 for it. We told them on our reservation and once we were there that it is our 10 year wedding anniversary and we were on holiday to celebrate this, they did not provide even one congratulations. The most that was done was our waiter took a photo of us because we him to. The service and everyone around you felt cold, condescending, and uninviting. I personally feel we were treated “less than.” I would never step foot in Javier’s again. For a $180 meal for two, I’ll take my money elsewhere.

The ambiance alone is enough to bring you in and keep coming back. Food and service was good, came in after work for a goodbye dinner. Jamaica Margarita was a highlight, aguachile was also good. Food in general was not outstanding but did not disappoint. Huge beautiful bar, ocean views, plenty of staff, and a sunset make it a great spot for lunch or dinner.
