If you like Mexican American food, then you’ll probably enjoy Green Lemon. It’s got a really fun & hip environment that’s super colorful and fun.
Most of the food wasn’t outstanding, just okay. But it depends what you get. My steak burrito was actually quite good, the steak was tender and seasoned well. But other things like the buffalo chicken and rice kind of lack more dimension in the flavor.
But again, if you enjoy Mexican you’ll like this place. They have a big sampler you can get that’s guacamole, salsa and queso with chips which is perfect to share with a group.
We also tried the churro cheesecake, which the server raved about but that was probably the worst thing we had. It just tasted really bland, the berry sauce was the only thing that gave it a taste. It was weird.
Green Lemon also has lots of fun margaritas and other drinks if you’re into that. Located in the South Howard part of Tampa it’s a nice walking area during the day.

We came to this place with a group of about 10 and there was a 20-30 minute wait, which is totally normal and expected. We were seated in about that time. We got chips and guacamole which were very fresh and tasted house made . I got 2 kft tacos and a brisket taco. Most of the other people also got tacos and liked their food. They put a candle on my friend’s dessert for his birthday . The tres leches was great. Overall good service and a nice environment. Definitely recommend.

The only reason I am giving this place four stars and not five is because the women’s bathroom has one stall! This is insane lol. We went on a Saturday night and waited about 15 minutes which was not bad because they were very crowded! Once we were seated, the waiter was awesome! As soon as you actually walk into the restaurant, it’s a whole vibe! They have an actual DJ, so the music was great, definitely a vibe with all of the everyday decorations, and just the everyday people there!
The food was so good! You have to try the fried trees I think is the name of it lol it’s the fried broccoli and cauliflower that is dipped in buffalo sauce, so good! I also had the seared tuna taco, the shrimp, taco, and the veggie taco! I got all mine on flour tortilla, and it was bomb! If you’re ordering the steak taco, make sure you let them know how you want it cooked because they will cook it with a lot of pink in it if you don’t specify otherwise lol the drinks were great! I ended up getting a regular margarita because I did not need the large one. They have a small parking lot on the side that is available, but there are not a whole lot of parking spots however there is a parking lot across the street that you are able to pay & park.

I went recently with a friend and we absolutely loved our experience! Our server Tim was phenomenal!!! he checked in with us often, kept us updated, and really made the night enjoyable. We ordered the crispy trees to start, my friend had three tacos, and I got the sesame tuna bowl. Everything tasted amazing!
The appetizer took a little longer than expected, but Tim communicated right away and even took it off the bill, which was so thoughtful. We decided to share a drink too, and they were just as delicious as the food. Overall, the food was fantastic, the drinks were great, and the service was on point. I’ll definitely be asking for Tim every time I come back!

This is a great taco restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and cool. The staff is friendly and service is quick. I had the pick the tacos and salad. Everything was great and I am looking forward to going back. Check them out!

Loved it. Just couldn’t eat much since I hate cilantro. However, the staff were really kind and helped me. I’m easy when it comes to substitutions. I had tacos, nachos and picked through the guacamole which was fabulous!

I have been to Green Lemon maybe 30 times in the 2.5 years I’ve lived in Tampa. It is the perfect spot for date nights, first dates, girls nights, business meetings, family dinner, reunions, anything. I love sitting at the bar but it’s also such a fun frenzied vibe sitting at a table in the thick of the restaurant. Their fiesta hour is everyday 3-7 pm and it’s such a good deal. $8 locos nachos, $8 crispy trees, $8-12 drinks, 3 for $11 tacos… can’t miss. The 24 oz margs are suchhhhh good value it’s insane. I prefer the frozen just for the taste and texture but my friends also like just on the rocks. I typically always get the burrito bowls but this time we tried to many tacos – Shia la beef, boss hogg, gigante, Santa Monica, pescado, KFT – all on flour tortillas. All were AMAZING. We were so full and the total was maybe like $20 each max for apps, entrees, and drinks…. What a deal. I go at regular times as well and everything is priced super fairly in general but who doesn’t love a good deal especially during the daytime! I also LOVE the staff. My servers (we had Sam yesterday and she was amazinggg) are always spot on and everyone is just very helpful and efficient. Not to mention how quick all the food & drinks come out even at prime time.
