I dined solo on a Sunday afternoon shortly after their opening. The staff are very warm and hospitable. My server – Kepar – provided me with excellent recommendations for food choices. He even suggested an item on the secret menu that I will definitely come back for more. The secret item is Peshawari Naan (made with nuts and coconut milk). I highly recommend to accompany any of the dishes. It is so tasty. The Peshawari Naan paired well with my vegetarian Saag Paneer entree.
The restaurant atmosphere is aesthetically appealing and it is true fine dining perfect for groups, couples or solo guests. The manager went around welcoming guests and asking about their meal. (This personalized touch is a missing ingredient with many other establishments). There is also a patio for alfresco dining.
This was an all around satisfying experience and I look forward to returning again, possibly to enjoy their weekday lunch specials. They fulfill numerous takeout orders through Door Dash/Uber Eats. I also hear people come particularly for the carry out bags that are insulated to keep your foot hot. What a great keepsake.
For the holidays, Bombay has a special dining experience for New Year’s Eve. ✨.
Tried Bombay Darbar for dinner and ordered Paneer Makhani, Biryani, Bullet Naan, and Garlic Naan. The naan was flavorful and fresh, but the rest of the meal didn’t quite meet expectations. The Paneer Makhani was okay, and the biryani felt more like vegetable fried rice.
Overall, not too impressed this time, but I’d be open to giving it another try on a future visit to see if the experience improves.
Our server, Vedang, is top notch! Always with a smile on his face and very attentive with the best attention to detail. Thank you for always giving us a memorable experience.
Bombay Darbar is the place to go for delicious authentic Indian cuisine and the best service on Las Olas! No other restaurant comes close. Thank you to all the staff at Bombay Darbar. We recently had Parth as our server, and he was excellent. Thank you.
Let’s start with the samosas. Holy curry leaves Batman these little golden triangles were out of this world. Crispy on the outside perfectly spiced on the inside and honestly if NASA ever needs fuel for their next launch they should probably just ask Bombay Darbar for a tray of these.
Then came the garlic naan and I swear I saw the light and it was the warm glow coming from that buttery garlicky bread. I could have made a meal just out of that naan alone. It was fluffy flavorful and had that “just one more piece” power that should be studied by scientists.
Now let’s talk about my main event the butter chicken. Creamy rich and full of soul. Every bite was like a warm hug from an Indian grandmother who has been cooking since before the spice trade began. It’s one of those dishes that reminds you why you go out to eat in the first place. Comforting perfectly balanced and so full of flavor it almost felt like it was flirting with me.
The atmosphere was pure magic. A mix of vibrant colors eclectic energy and a hum of laughter and conversation that made the whole place feel alive. You can tell everyone there is having a great time and that’s the best kind of vibe a restaurant can have.
And then there was Sofia our server the absolute star of the show. Friendly funny and totally on top of everything. She made sure our table never went dry or hungry and her energy was infectious. She treated us like old friends and made the whole night even better.
I was dining with some really good friends and by the end of the night we all agreed Bombay Darbar isn’t just one of the best Indian restaurants in Fort Lauderdale it’s one of the best meals you can find anywhere on Las Olas Boulevard. The prices are fantastic for the quality you get the portions are generous and every bite tastes like it was made with passion.
If you want a restaurant that delivers flavor fun and flawless service this is the spice of life you have been craving.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5 I will definitely be back for another round of naan stop deliciousness.
The only drawback is the parking. It’s limited, often crowded, and can be a bit of a headache during peak hours. You may need to circle around or park farther away than you’d like. The service tax and tip is already included that is 18% even for table for 4 So no need to add extra tip.
Still, once you’re seated and the food arrives, it’s absolutely worth the effort. Bombay Darbar delivers an experience that keeps you coming back.
