We walked past this place one night and decided to go for breakfast in the morning and we are so glad we did! The chilaquiles and the lox bagel were delicious. I recommend the hashbrowns as well. We went on Sunday morning around 10 and Waited for 25 mins for a table.

Ist time dining here. They actually have a working pay phone. Pleasant servers. The server could have checked in a bit more but he was still nice. We had two of his recommendations and they were good. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans. Pretty tasty and deviled eggs as an appetizer. The deviled eggs were a bit salty but not bad. I would go again if in the area.

The staff member was handsome and had the most wonderful smile, and the food was delicious!
Is this place really open 24 hours a day? That’s incredible.

Thank you so much for such a lovely time during a heavy snowstorm.
I was worried about the weather, but this place was truly comforting and healing.
I sincerely hope this restaurant continues for a very long time.

I’m giving this spot 3.5 stars. It was a mixed bag with some true “hits” and a few “misses.”

Our service got off to a rough start. After being seated, we waited a solid ten minutes before a waiter finally came over. When we did try to order, there was some confusion—our waiter repeatedly asked about an appetizer despite us saying no.

However, once we finally ordered our main courses, the food came out quickly.

The Hits (Must-Try Dishes)

Guajillo Braised Short Rib Hash: Fantastic! This was the star of the meal. It had a wonderful depth of flavor—savory with a hint of smokiness and a hint of heat. The potatoes were cooked perfectly (even the skin-on ones, which I usually avoid), and the short rib itself was perfectly tender. My only minor complaint is that there was too much gristle on the short rib. The eggs on top were over-hard (I wish they’d asked my preference), but still good. I would absolutely order this again.

The Veggie Burger: A complete hit with everyone at the table. It was moist, flavorful, and had a great, homemade texture. The fries served with it were on point. Definitely a must-get.

The Misses

Chicken Fried Steak: This dish was interesting—it had a nice crust, flavorful gravy, good mashed potatoes, and green beans. Unfortunately, the steak itself was really dry and tough. It completely slid out of the crust and was very difficult to cut.

The Patty Melt: This was just decent.

Final Thoughts on Service and Atmosphere

The service was not great overall. We waited a long time after the meal and eventually had to flag down our waiter just to get the bill.

On the bright side, the restaurant was clean, had a kind of old-school vibe, and the prices were not bad for NY.

I would go again just for the Short Rib Hash

Walked in for 2 guests Sunday morning around 9:51/9:30am – able to get seated right away at the counter. Nostalgic vibe in the restaurant – bar stools, chrome touches, lit up pastry display case… very old school and I love it. Hot coffee, delicious breakfast – I don’t know how they cook their eggs but they were phenomenal. I want to go back and try to strawberry pretzel salad or maybe a milkshake. Run, don’t walk, to Kellog’s! Be advised there was a line w / a bit of a wait by the time we left around 10:15/10:30.

Writing this review because I had the BEST experience at Kelloggs tonight because of our server, Bryan! He was amazing! I’ve come to Kelloggs a few times in the past but haven’t thought to write a review until now. I really enjoy the old diner ambiance and appreciate the variety of menu items.

This time, I came searching for the disco fries I got last time. I didn’t see them on the menu and had no idea they were only apart of the late night offerings until I asked. I decided to order a side of fries and queso, but Bryan surprised me by bringing over some of the gravy that they had prepped for later that night! It was such a nice surprise, and I really appreciated the gesture. I guess I am making this review as a PSA that the disco fries are only a late night menu item and also to shoutout Bryan for his hospitality!!

This place is awesome and the whole neighborhood knows it. The food is great and the coffee is really good. Very fresh. This was the coldest day of the year and the place was so slammed that people were waiting outside. If you are in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this is a solid play. Enjoy!

Growing up in this area I’ve spent years going to this diner, my family and I spent so much time here. Going into my 20s I also learn it’s a great spot to end your Friday/Saturday night, seeing as they’re 24 hours, I’d also recommend it for a Sunday recovery after a long weekend. They’ve made so many changes over the years and there recent renovations bring a new aesthetic but still staying true to their original vibe. It’s a neighborhood go to and I genuinely love it here.

Lively diner right by the subway. Long wait though service is quick. Cocktail is strong and unique. Food was tasty and the server was attentive. Good spot for a comfortable brunch.

Some friends and I came in around 4:30am give or take on a Monday night after trying to hit another diner that was closed but it was a blessing in disguise. When we walked in we were greeted by what i believed to be the security guard named Albert and he opened the door for us with a smile and amazing service! Then the well dressed clean cut host walked us to our table where we then ordered the food with our waitress who seemed a little shy but was still amazing! The food was so good even at super late hours I ordered the huevos rancheros and they were genuinely so good ! Attached is a photo but it is blurry due it being a screenshot. My friends also enjoyed their meals and milkshakes ! I want to add that the bathroom was freshly cleaned when I went with multiple brand new toilet paper rolls. The overall vibe of the place was so good everyone was super kind , the food was delicious , the place was clean and the food came out fast ! Thank you Kellogg diner I’ll be back !!
