It was the worst experience of my life. First, I ordered a horchata, and it tasted awful, like it had gone bad. I asked the waitress if she could change the water because it wasn’t good, and she said she couldn’t because she’d already drunk it. Seriously? How am I supposed to know the water was bad if I didn’t taste it? I didn’t order it, obviously, but they charged me $7.99. It took 50 minutes for the food to arrive. I wanted to leave, but I hate problems, so I put up with it. After 50 minutes, the food finally arrived. The pupusas were awful, dripping with grease, and the food was salty. I immediately asked for a to-go box, and when I paid, the cashier told me it was $50.52 I was so angry and hungry, and the next day I checked my bill, and it was $55.52. I didn’t tip the waitress because after I mentioned the water, she was horribly rude. My experience was so bad that I wouldn’t recommend it for anything in the world. I’m not Salvadoreña , but I’ve tried Salvadoreña food, and it’s delicious. But the food at that place is completely unsuitable for someone who really knows their food. That was my experience, and I would never recommend that place.

This was actually the Rockville road location but couldnt post a second review there so I’m posting the pics here. The food is so fresh ! The cheese dip is pretty over priced at $6 for a tiny cup but it’s still good.

It was my first time eating Pupusas, I must say that it was very pleasant to eat Salvadoran food in this place, super cozy, the server was very kind and very patient with me when I was asking her questions and asking for recommendations about the menu. very interesting place.

The popusas here are great. The reason this place doesn’t get 5 stars from me is because the service and wait time for food aren’t the best.
Should you decide to come here please be prepared to request your own refills and wait an extended amount of time for your food. Definitely not a quick bite place.
I would recommend this place to someone that has plenty of time to eat and is ready to be left alone by the waitress.

I met a friend here for brunch. She had never eaten Salvadoran food before, and I had only had it a few times. We asked what the waitress recommended, and she kindly and excitedly explained some of the best breakfast plates. My friend and I ordered and shared different pieces, each bite more delicious than the next. Cheese pupusa with cabbage and salsa – incredible. Pastelito with potato – insanely good. Chicken tamal – unlike any I had ever had – similar to the masa of a hallaca from Venezuela, if you’ve had those. Sour cream – unlike any I had ever had – sweet and creamy! Fresh cheese – out of this world. I could go on and on. It was amazing. I would definitely come back here. And there’s so MUCH food for a reasonable price! If I hadn’t just run 7 miles, I would have had at least another meal to take home. Warm, friendly atmosphere and good food. Definitely go here!

If you are into extremely greasy oily food this is the place to go. They do take longer then other places to have your order ready. Almost every time they forget to put a few things in my order. On the good side food is good in size, price and flavor.
