There is a very wide open space to eat, no small nooks and crannies. All tables are very out in the open with very high ceilings.
The restrooms are average and have decent accommodations.
Service was good. Nothing to write home about.
Food was really good. Hamburgers cooked to medium rare. Perfection. Took half home. Ordering their fries is confusing. The Alabama sauce is liquid thin. There is an upcharge for vinegar fries. Why? Just put the vinegar on the tables.
Again. VERY expensive. Food is good, but not good enough for the prices we paid.
You cant go wrong with the food here always banging. Elvis and rhythm and blue are yummy . Wicked rooster if you like chicken, very thick piece.
Tried the ” hidden gem smash burger ” that was banging . Banana pudding is the bomb . You cant go wrong with anything on the menu
Then, several years ago, I discovered they had a brick and mortar place out in Mocksville. I went, took family and a friend, and fell in love with the Puff-mento and the Freaky Fry bucket. Within a few months of me knowing of the place, they decided to close that location, opting to return to the food truck world and search for a new home. I kept track of the on social media and made a point to get a burger on occasion, whether they were set up at the Carolina Classic fair or next to a Christmas tree lot.
When they announced the new location in Salisbury, I was ecstatic. Work and life have kept me away from my beloved pimento and bacon jam smothered burger, but it’s Christmas break and I FINALLY had the time and energy to make the drive (and deal with traffic on 85).
I treated my parents today and from walking in the door to leaving, we were pleased. Our waitress, Sarah, was attentive, ready with an update or to refill our glasses. The food was just as good as I remember and they’ve made the Applerito (a tortilla filled with apple pie filling) a staple on the menu. (My one complaint-no ice cream/ala mode option?) And while it’s not a huge deal, whomever chose the music was brilliant. BeeGees, Stevie Wonder, The Cardigans, and a variety of others.
I’ll definitely be back, if nothing else, for another burger and to try their ‘Stallion’ mozzarella cheese sticks.
30-35 min wait after ordering for just two burgers and fries. Tab is $50 for those two burgers/fries with sodas…. The wait staff always make me feel like I am inconvenience being there.
Have been there within an hour of opening and had to order 3 different things because everything we tried to order was already out.
Last trip our fries were overcooked to the point of just being crispy shells.
Heaven forbid you ask to remove a topping from one of the specialty Chefs “Vision” burgers as that’s not allowed at all. Feels a little bougie for a burger place to not allow alterations.
Ill probably still go back for something “different” in the Salisbury area but its not as amazing as people are making it out to be and definitely not worth the price tag to become a regular.
That said, the prices still feel a little high for the Salisbury area. Around $20 for a burger and side might make sense in a bigger city, but it’s a bit of sticker shock compared to other sit-down restaurants nearby.
Overall though, the food is great, the quality is there, and it’s nice to see a new local option with a focus on freshness. If they can find a way to make the pricing feel a little more in line with the area, I think they’ll have a real hit on their hands.
