Always good food, with large portions. Despite the removal of the lunch buffet, the lunch specials, on the lunch menu are still great value and great price, and always delicious! Buffet was removed due to the downturn in the economy, are we ‘great’ now??? Who knows, but I’ll tell you you’ll have a great time at China Chef. Suzanne is the kindest waitress, who always makes an effort to talk with you, check up on you, and see how you’re doing. I will remain loyal to China Chef, for all my Chinese food needs.

First time eating here!! I got the dinner combo sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice. The chicken was so fresh and hot. Gave me plenty of sweet n sour. Pork fried rice was cooked so well and it was soft for all 3 of us. My son got the chicken wings combo. He got 8 wings. They’re so crispy and juicy and fantastically delicious!! He said they’re the best he’s ever had at a Chinese food restaurant. My mom got the chicken and veggies combo. She got a lot of chicken and a ton of veggies. She had so much sauce..she added some to her pork fried rice. We have lots of leftovers because you get a lot of food for the money.
Our server was absolutely so sweet and attentive!!! I asked about the lunch buffet and she happily explained everything to me!!! We’ll definitely check it out soon!!

Worst Chinese food I’ve had ever! Chicken & Broccoli, vegetables not cooked, sauce was wet and runny nor reduced. One bite and in the trash it went. Crab Rangoon over cooked and dry!!! How do you mess these up!!!!!!!! Rice was cold and dry, shrimp egg rolls were just as bad! Never ever again!

This by far was NOT the best Chinese food I’ve had, but it worked in a pinch and we were really hungry.
The complimentary appetizer of fried wonton strips with a sweet dipping sauce was stale.
The Pu Pu platter was really oily/greasy with a lingering taste of not so fresh oil.
Mixed veggies with tofu was in a heavy sauce and not flavorful at all, but the veggies were cooked perfectly…. Soft with a bit of crisp still left.
The waitress was super sweet and very accommodating to any requests. Tea was good and soups were okay.
As I walked back to the restroom, I got a glance of what the chef was eating and wow..it looked great..light and fresh…veggies..fish.. I have no doubt that his food tasted terrific. Unfortunately there was nothing like it on the menu.
I say it is time for this place to toss some of the outdated, greasy, fried, heavy sauced traditional Americanized Chinese food and cook for others what they cook for themselves! I’d guess the restaurant with only 2 patrons while we were there could attract a lot more customers.

Having lived in Orlando over 20 years, I’ve had a lot of Chinese food.
I think china chef has the most consistent, fresh tasting, American Chinese food you can find in this area. He sheng accross the street is also amazing.
China Chef does a lunch buffet. Quality over quantity. Lots to choose from still.
Chicken and broccoli is light and tasty, not a super cornstarch mix. Mu shu pork is better than most places and isn’t drowning in sauce (actually has vegetables).
Haven’t tried anything that isn’t tasty. Try the lunch buffet and you’ll be able to try…

Their bourbon chicken and chicken fried rice are amazing. The bourbon chicken isn’t too sweet or “over-sauced.” They give you so much food too, you can have multiple meals.

Ordered from China Chef for the first time last night. It was so good that I had to come review it right away. The sweet and sour chicken was unbelievable. The box was stuffed to the point that the top of the container couldn’t close! The chicken was so good that I ate half of it before I even got around to adding the sauce.
