Im editing my review down to 1 star. I wrote the below review before check out. The main reason I chose to eat hear was they had a sign saying they gave a 15% discount to AARP members (I even asked about it before being seated). My bill was $14.27 before the discount and tip when they scanned my card for the discount the gave me a 49 cent discount. When I pointed out that was not 15% the cashier (also my waitress) couldn’t explain why the discount was so small she did not offer to get a manager but did say maybe it was because I ordered from the discount menu. I carefully checked the signage and there were no stipulations or restrictions. After reviewing my receipt I see that they gave me a 15% discount on my drink but nothing on my entrée.
I’d realy like to give it 5 stars. The food, and service were great. The staff was very polite and friendly, the restaurant was very clean. So why only 3 stars? They are in the Flying J truck stop which makes the location VERY convenient (which is another reason for 5 stars) but the restrooms were atrocious. The restrooms were built well to be easily cleaned, but they had manual flashers which no one flushed, the men’s room smelled of stale urine and no one had done a decent job of moping (at least not with hot soapy clean water) or wiping down surfaces. (If this Denny’s was in a Love’s truck stop Im sure I’d give them all the stars!)

I haven’t been to a Denny’s in over 10 years because I can no longer have dairy. I was over the moon when I read that they are now offering pancakes that are not made with dairy/vegan. Diamond was our server and she was amazing. This combined with the delicious pancakes made our visit a nice day out. We will definitely be back for the 9 grain pancakes. They are fantastic!

I have eaten or attempted to eat at this Dennys a total of three times since I’ve lived here in the past decade. The first time it wasn’t busy at all and I waited 15 minutes for a waiter to come with water or take my order, I left without even ordering. The second time it was a little more busy, I ordered my food and waited almost a half hour and left without ever getting my food. And this morning, the third and final time it wasn’t busy, maybe 6 people in there total. I ordered my food, received my food, and ate my food. The sandwich was okay, but the hash browns were half undercooked and half burnt. Somehow hard and cold but maintaining that bitter charred flavor, actually pretty astonishing feat of cooking. Then i wait and wait for my check to come, it never does. So i wait by the registers, my check comes then she tells me “she’ll be right up here”. Who? Ive only seen one person working here. Then from the back looking like she just woke up, shirt half unbuttoned, hair bag still on her head this woman comes sauntering up. Not a word of greeting just a groggy “fifteen oh three”. This place absolutely sucks on every level.

Absolutely the worst Denny’s I’ve ever been to. The food took over 40 minutes to arrive and it was just my wife and I ordering very basic breakfast menu items. The food arrived a mixture of hot and cold, telling me that our food was partially ready at least at some point.
Felt very unwelcome the minute we walked into the restaurant. We were sat down and basically ignored for the first 15 minutes of us being there.
After we ordered, our server never once checked in on us despite their being only a handful of people in the restaurant. We were just about to get up and leave when the food finally arrived. Pancakes were OK, and the eggs and bacon were decent. The sausage however, was physically revolting. I never spit out my food, but one bite out of the sausage and it made me sick to my stomach immediately. It tasted like it had spoiled 6 times over.
I do not recommend coming to this Dennys.

This breakfast was great. We had a party of 6 and there wasn’t any wait. The food came out quick and hot. Our waitress did an outstanding job. We will definitely eat here again on our next trip.

So I grew up in South Florida where Denny’s was a institution. I have lived in Hendersonville here in Tennessee for 11 years. And haven’t been back to a Denny’s except for a trip I took to Orlando 5 years ago. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed their menu and their particular way of cooking things. It is what it is. Doesn’t matter how busy they are it’s an hour investment to go there. The food is decent. The servers are usually always nice but they keep the labor rate down so the servers have a difficult time keeping up.
