We had an appt in Lafayette so we stopped by trip place to catch lunch on the way back and it was definitely a 10/10!! We were seated within 2-3 minutes. The hostess was very pleasant! The booth was comfortable! And then Brooke showed up to the table as our waitress….she was bubbly, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and very nice (Will ask for her every time ♀️)! The blueberry lemon drop and the hurricane only required 1 because wooooo they were delicious and they were had just enough to get us to a good place. If I stayed closer, I would have ordered 2 more! We had the firecracker shrimp for our appetizer and the sauce was ok. Shrimp was fried a tad too long but otherwise good. We tried the gumbo threesome and it was a GREAT choice! All 3 were good but the chicken and sausage gumbo was my fave! That JU’s BBQ Burger was to die for!!!! My husband had the Chef Fried Rice and he said it was ok but he couldn’t stopping eating my burger long enough to know! It’s a must next time we come through!

Ordered a little bit of everything and unfortunately, did not like most of what was ordered. The best thing we had was the kids alfredo and the roll. The meat in the gumbo was over cooked. The crawfish enchiladas were mostly tortilla, with a small amount of crawfish in a sauce. The dirty rice was dry. Maybe we ordered the wrong items but we were not a fan. The service was good and the atmosphere was great. They have a gator in the front.

Cute place, was recommended to us by a local friend. Loved the live music. My seafood gumbo was good. Hubby got the catfish Ata something, haha cant remember the name, he said the catfish was fantastic, the etoufee was good but small portion, and the little corn thing was not good.
Nachos for appetizers were good. Rolls were about 1$ each for extras, which we did not know until we got the bill.
All in all, a fun experience.

I visited prejans on the first night of a three day training in the Lafayette area. I had a recommendation from one of the locals in my class who said it was good food. I went the first night and was so blown away by the food and service that I ate dinner all three nights I was in town. The gumbo trio was to die for, the crawfish platter was next to a religious experience. My classmate had the pasta with a massive crab cake in the middle and was more than pleased. The flavor, the cost, the friendly service, and generous portions brought me back each night. I wish they had a restaurant in Oregon because I’d be there regularly! Do not miss the opportunity to experience this gem!

Nice cajun restaurant with a varied menu..not all fried foods which was nice. I had the seafood gumbo which was really good and the spicy bloody mary…which I would recommend to any who likes mixed drinks…the gator bites were good and made fresh. The decor was nice and bayou styled. And of course we got a picture of the big alligator at the front. Prices were reasonable.

The foods is delicious !!!! The staff is friendly. There is ample parking. The seafood dishes aren’t too spicy. They have just enough flavor that you taste what you are eating ! Great food !

Prejean’s has always been very good but we have not been in the area lately. We got a chance to eat here today and it is as good as we remembered. The atmosphere is decidedly cajun and a lot of fun. The food is some of the best cajun cooking you will ever taste and yes, a slight bit spicy. Our server was just great, friendly and attentive.

We are from Texas and came here on a business trip. The seafood gumbo was WONDERFUL! Ordered a side of dirty rice…..best I’ve ever had! Also had an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms. BEST EVER! The staff were all very attentive. And a bonus of live music while we ate! We will definitely return next time we are in town. @prejeans, can you leak the dirty rice recipe for me?! I’d love to make this at home in Texas!

I visited this restaurant while I was in town for a funeral service. I loved the food & atmosphere. However, after getting back to Houston, my friend and I became sick. I contacted the establishment to notify them so they can investigate and make the necessary corrections. The manager Colton, wanted to instead argue w/ me that it didn’t come from the restaurant, he insisted that we may have caught a flu or stomach bug. Someone who didn’t attend the trip w/ us, ate the leftovers the very next day and they became sick as well. I wanted to return here whenever I’m in town, but the response from management has made me change my mind.
