we kept seeing tv commercials for free queso and free sopapillas on cinco de mayo. this location has a small free parking lot. we went there pretty early on that monday evening. the place was packed. service was apparently under staffed. They were super busy although had a relaxed atmosphere. food was bland.

Stopped here for lunch. They had plenty of different menu choices. I went with the traditional chicken fajitas. It was just ok. Kind of bland. The salsa that came with the chips wasn’t that good either. Tasted like just pureed tomatoes. Service was great, friendly and quick though.

We ordered on DoorDash, obviously the first mistake. It didn’t take long to get here so I was baffled when I got my food and it was cold. No warmth to it at all. One of my containers was completely smashed in and most of my food was stuck to the lid. We paid for a large queso, but got a small. The chips were so gross. We ordered 2 bags and they tasted like they were from lastnight. You could smell the old grease on them. Not eatable. After $45 neither of us ate any of the food considering it literally tasted like it had just been sitting around for a couple hours. Complete WASTE of money. To spend almost $50 you would expect a much better experience… but in this case we were served old food , cold food & poorly prepared food. Long story short save your money & go to a different location. This one absolutely sucks. DONT recommend. We will not be back.

Pretty convenient option if you’re staying at the attached hotel. The Quesabirria was great.

Good food. Service tries really hard, bless their heart. All the things you’ve come to know and love about El Nopal.

The cheese on my nachos was, without exaggeration, the consistency of water.
I asked what was up and they offered me some more cheese. It was also like water and ran to the bottom of the plate.

Service was fast and friendly. Food came out of the kitchen quickly. The chips were still warm when served.
The chiles poblanos were good with a little heat and the perfect amount of heat. Would return.

Nice little Mexican restaurant with a great menu and lots of drink options. Also, it’s on the river with a great view. The icing on the cake is it’s attached to a pet friendly hotel and they let us bring our dog on the patio.
