BBTL has been a family owned Cafe & Bakery in downtown Coeur d’Alene, ID. Started in 2007 by father and son with a vision of crafting artisan bread, pastries and serving traditional espresso drinks. Hot sandwiches served all day. Beer and Wine available. Pizza served Friday and Saturday.
Easygoing place offering coffee drinks, breakfast, baked goods, sandwiches, plus wine & beer.

A female cashier offered me a rewards card (two free espresso drinks per 22 espresso drinks purchased) on a day this week because she said I come here everyday. The bald guy with a beard who is a manager there overheard this, remembered this, and the next day brought this up and asked the cashier woman if I should have backstock on the card. She said yes, so I got credit for four previous coffees.
There’s a young man who personally brings my coffee to me instead of leaving it on the counter.
There is a nice group of people who come here. An old man reads the paper at the at the booth table closest to the front door and leaves his paper for people to read. The couch space has a nice coffee table.
An old man plays an accoustic guitar and sings songs in the corner of the interior behind one of the couches. Gentle music and music by the Beatles band.
There is a piano, a fireplace, and a chess board.
They have plenty of bread and other food products to buy.

This bakery is a winner every time! Their breads are delicious, baked goods have all been amazing. Special mention: snicker doodle cookies, extra sour sourdough & sticky buns. They make a really fantastic wet cappuccino with abundant strong foam. Arrive early, they’ve definitely been discovered since we first came here 6 years ago. Grab a bar seat at the windows to watch the park activity.

Had a wonderful first experience here, hopefully not the last. The staff were friendly, and very helpful over a mishap we had with our order. We got the tall black and white mini layer cakes, they were delicious and exactly what we were looking for! Care was obviously taken in the ingredients and composition of the food, would be willing to try anything else they made. Thank you so much!

For over a year we have been regular customers of this fine establishment. The staff, owner, son of owner, and all of the counter staff have been professional and courteous to us no matter the crowd or weather outside. The offerings are fresh and the atmosphere is inviting. We highly trying this place when you are visiting Coeur D Alene.

Mocha was good, service fast and pleasant. It was busy. We parked at the library diagonal from the bakery/cafe, otherwise street parking. Bought some other baked goods, cake balls, macaroon, and a cookie. They were out of a couple of items we wanted. My sons liked the cake balls and macaroon. I had to ask for the cookie to be warmed, but it still didn’t seem to be warmed. It was close to the main area of town and had lots of seating including some outside. Lots pluses.
