First time trying Charlie’s family grill, and it was wonderful. The food was top notch, and the service was even better!
Ruth did an amazing job at making us feel at home, as well as checking up on us to make sure we had what we needed. She did great on recommendations & knew the menu well! She was the sweetest!

Nice, clean modern restaurant. Friendly waitress. Great selection of food. The Sunnyside burger and wet beef burrito is very good and the price was fair. Plenty of food for leftovers. The deep fried ice cream on a Belgian waffle was outstanding! You’ll love it. This restaurant is highly recommended!

This was just all around terrible! Let’s start with the first photo which was my daughter’s cheeseburger or should I say half a cheeseburger like what is even that..get this opened my nephews cheeseburger and low and behold there was the other half of my daughters burger. The second picture is her cheese hard on all edges. The third is my daughter’s chicken strips they were soggy and rubbery. Now mind you we waited almost 2 hrs for all our food this was a big party for my father’s birthday. Just disgusting! My dad didn’t even get the correct order to add to it all. I could’ve made a huge deal and demand not to pay but I didn’t I paid my 62$ bill and left and I can say with 100% positivity I will NEVER COME BACK!

Atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. My girls enjoyed their cheeseburgers, which were a very good size for $5 dollar kids burgers, same size as mine, practically. My youngest couldn’t finish hers. I ordered a $13 dollar olive burger. It came out with a pile of pimentos and less than one olive on the entire burger. I showed it to the waitress, Delaney (not sure if I spelled that right) and asked if I could get more olives. She kindly took it back to get more. She came back out very quickly and told me that the cook said the red things were olives. I said those are pimentos. She asked if I wanted her to take it back and I told her no, don’t worry about it, cause I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it.
Kind of annoying that a cook would send it back telling me pimentos are olives rather than just give me the freaking $8 dollar olives. I paid $13 dollars for pretty much the same thing as my daughters ate, and theirs were only 5 bucks. Never even tasted the “olives” (pimentos). The waitress was kind and the food did taste good, but the cook really turned me off to returning.

If I could give less than 1 star I would! I would highly recommend going anywhere other than here. Got hash brown with ham added. I literally took three bites and my food was gone the portion was so small, I added ham that I couldn’t even see it was so small. Then got charged 4$ extra to add it making it 12$ it wasn’t worth 4$!! The waitress was great but the boss who is going to get this place shut down wouldn’t do anything but take less than 2$ off the bill. I will never be back and will travel to another county if I have to before going back!!!

Great food, superb service, portions reflect the price. They were willing to accommodate my husband’s and mine food intolerances, the main cook came and talk to us to make sure what we needed as far as the accommodations.

Oh my goodness…. If you’ve never experienced deep fried ice cream then you need to go to Charlie’s Family Grill in Fremont. Their deep fried ice cream is so scrumptious and delicious. If you’re a fan of desserts and looking for a special treat on a hot day then this tasty dessert will not disappoint you !!!

They are doing everything they can to keep their business open and their dream alive during Covid, in spite of threats and wishes of death on their family for staying open. Is this really the society we live in now?
